A funny thing happened at the dental office today:
At about 8 AM my receptionist came in thru the front door with a reception room full of patients (we start at 6:30, and no, we don't call it a 'waiting room'). She was clearly agitated and perturbed. I asked her in front of everyone, "What's the matter?", fearful that I was going to have a VERY LONG DAY. She replied, "I just tried to have a healthcare discussion with a Republican, and it was no use." I replied, "You should know by now not to bother; it's like peeing into the wind." The whole room erupted in laughter. I said, "Good. No Republicans this early in the morning - I'm trying to keep my breakfast down by not becoming too agitated first thing." More laughter. And off to work I went!

edit to add: I'm friends with my dentist. He'll talk about the stupidity of democrats when he's away from the office. He's never made a political statement when I've been at his office.

What would we call it? Bouncy Ball to bouncy was easy. PCIntern doesn't really lend itself to the same treatment. "Janitor" maybe? Or a "moppy?"

Customer relations work again, certainly I would encourage my staff to engage my customers in politics" I replied, "You should know by now not to bother; it's like peeing into the wind." It's too short, he should have put in a little more effort just for entertainment purposes.

I guess you could probably count the first time the room erupted into laughter as her adoring fans, that would also count for people around her listening tentatively, and her asking the question in front of everybody as her raising her voice a little. And you can count the second time the room erupted in laughter as her getting a round of applause as she walked out the door.

As for the rest. There is no converting hundreds to vote for oabama, and no one jumping out of the bushes. Well, that is a dentist office so they would have jumped out their chair with their mouth filled with gauze and a suction tube, and drool dripping onto the towel hanging around their neck as they shook her hand.
