Fixed :whistling: :whistling: :-)

Hardly.    I was fashionable before it was fashionable.  I was wearing fade and holey jeans long before they started selling them that way.  (I just hate buying clothes.)

I hate to say it...but I graduated from high school in 1976. I though many of those outfits were cool.

I graduated in '77. All Through HS I wore blue jeans, plaid shirts and a jean Jack with either engineer boots or dingo boots. Never succumbed to the disco craze, always been a rocker. Had hair down to the middle of my shoulder blades up to the night before I left for the MEPS center.

I wore a powder blue leisure suit.
I had ties as wide as a bib.
I had a gold balloon sleeve shirt with a collar almost as wide as my shoulders.
All my pants were flares.
I has zip up half boots.

and the 70's gals thought I was totally hot.

Please take pity on me.

We were more angsty with the resources to match ie we couldn't afford much. Most of my friends were Coast Guard brats and skater/punk was so much easier to pull off on our budgets.  :-)

To this day I wear jeans until they are so far gone that homeless people would reject them.  When they get too bad to wear in public, then they become work jeans.

I do the same thing and my mom breaks my back about wearing dirty clothes.

I washed them last week. :whatever:

After seeing those picture you can almost here the 70's porn music in the background. I will bet that that is what Stinkbait over at DU has for work close when he goes to collect the money from his renters.

When I was about in the 10th  grade I got a pair of hand me down 501 jeans from an older brother,he had wore them for years. I wore the jeans for about 10 yrs then made them into shorts and wore them for about 10+/- yrs. They had patches on patches and looked like hell but there was something about them, they were the most damn comfortable shorts to wear. I think my ex celebrated when I finally relegated them to the rags bin.  :-)

501's...I still like them, although they've become ungodly expensive.

This pic was my favorite--all the more so since it was one of the major catalogs, and yes, ladies--that hat IS for sale...
