Forget Health Care .. The Bigger Picture
« on: June 28, 2012, 11:55:52 AM »
I hate having to point out what should be obvious.

The obvious that I am speaking of is this .. a very important part of what took place today is being overlooked!

Whether or not this whole ObamaCare mess is repealed .. the ruling by the SC has set in stone the precedent that the government CAN TAX anything and everything that it chooses!

The original Tea Party rebelled over taxation without representation but today's SC would have 'ruled' against them and in a way .. they just did!

The power to tax without limitations was JUST handed to the government!

THAT is now set in stone and thus .. America as a Representative Republic has drawn it's final breath!

God Help Us All.

How is that different from what it was yesterday? We need to make sure we have representatives who will show restraint. Elections matter. It shows us how important it is that we elect the right people to the government.

Who was it that said we're always only a generation away from losing our liberty?

You know any Representatives that show restraint?

You still under the impression that we actually have a two party system?

Which tax has ever been 'permanently' repealed by a restrained representative?

Look no further than Social Security as an example of Restraint by your representatives!

How about Bushes prescription drug boondoggle?

Would someone turn out the lights on their way out please!?

Where you going? If you know of a better place, please let us know where it is. We might want to follow along.

If you were talking to your daughter on a phone and she was trapped in a house with serial rapist and killer at what point would you tell her to stop fighting?

No, we don't have taxation without representation.

Our representatives, enough of them at least, voted for this giant tax boondoggle.

They simply need to be voted out and replaced with patriots who don't tax people to death or take over private industry.

Does America have the spine to elect enough good people to serve in the Congress?  I don't know.  This stupid country voted Obama in.

There are good people, good candidates, good chances out there, but I don't know if there are ENOUGH of them to make the necessary difference.

Myself I'll keep voting and volunteering and praying.

The problem with this course of action (electing good candidates) is that it is nearly impossible to identify who they are!
(I've had my fill of RINOS)

Promises, promises .. that is what we always pin our hopes on!

The two party system has become a joke .. on us!

Let me ask .. How's that voting for the (good candidates) worked out for all of us over the years?

Name .. Just One of the bass-turds that when elected was not concerned 'only' about re-election .. pandering to the freeloaders and keeping their grip on the power and privileges of office!?

We weren't represented in this Massive tax hike (Obamacare)!

This POS was 'crammed' down the throats of the Majority of We The People by the Communist Liberals and by a Dictator who threatened and bribed it into being!

I think roberts was talking to us.  He protected the Commerce Clause, he prevented the executive branch withholding medicade funds to states and finally told us you elected these assholes & they gave you this 2600 page piece of crap.  Fix it.

I'm no bunny, but I think Roberts just gift-wrapped us a Republican in the White House and a Republican-majority House and Senate. Taxes can be repealed. The Commerce Clause can't.

Sure it can.  All it will take is a Constitutional Amendment.

That 'might' be true IF we didn't have our own version of Pravda!

This is going to be spun by the MSM as a great thing that Obama has given to the people!

It will also be spun as .. "If Romney and the Repubs are elected, they will take your health care away from you!"

The freeloaders and outright IDIOTS (which are in the majority) are too D@MN stupid (or don't care) to know what has just taken place!

After all .. "IT'S FREE"!! W-H-E-E-E-E-E

It's true. I might be unrealistic. What did Obamacare do for the Repubs in 2010? A major Repub victory. Now, the Tea Party is up against the wall. I think there's going to be a major--a generational--movement.

But that's just me.

Dig in hell...  That is a defensive posture.

I say go on the attack.

To paraphrase Gen. Patton:

Quote
I don't want to get any messages saying, "I am holding my position." We are not holding a *******ed thing. Let the [Democrats] do that. We are advancing constantly and we are not interested in holding onto anything, except the enemy's balls. We are going to twist his balls and kick the living shit out of him all of the time. Our basic plan of operation is to advance and to keep on advancing regardless of whether we have to go over, under, or through the enemy. We are going to go through him like crap through a goose; like shit through a tin horn!

Would we have had a different nominee if this decision was rendered before Romney reached 1410 delegates?
