That’s what one author is saying in a new book Breasts: A Natural and Unnatural History, Medical Daily reported.  According to her research, author Florence Williams found that the average bra size for women in the U.S. has increased from 34 B to 36 C – a trend that Williams says isn’t as good as it sounds.

Williams outlines numerous unpleasant reasons that may be contributing to expanding bra sizes, such as women’s expanding waistlines – a factor that has been linked with increased risk of breast cancer.

Another culprit behind growing cups is early onset puberty, another precursor for breast cancer, Medical Daily said.  According to a 2010 study in Pediatrics, 15 percent of American girls start to get breast tissue when they’re only seven years old.

Once a woman develops large breasts, she’s put at a greater risk of pollution exposure.  Bigger breasts have a much higher concentration of fatty tissue, and according to Medical Daily, the body stores toxic chemicals in its fat cells.  This means big breasts could be storing dangerous compounds such as mercury or chemicals found in pesticides and paints.

To make matters worse, the more these chemicals are stored in the breast tissue, the more likely they are to be transferred into a woman’s breast milk and passed along to her newborn children.

I can see size having a effect on the back. There are some people I know with big boobs, who are always complaining about how their back hurts from all the top heavy weight.

My sister in law had to get breast reduction surgery because her mammaries were destroying her spine.  Some merit to the article.

I am a D and I have horrible back problems.  I have not been told by my dr's that it's because of my boobiez.   :rant:

I had a breast reduction in 95'. I was looking at a 40 double "g" . At 4 foot 7 that didn't look or feel healthy. I had back aches like you wouldn't believe. the only downside, if one considered a downside is I couldn't nurse any children, which was fine by me.. now if I lose weight, I'm golden....

I would like to add something in here if I may. 

My first wife was a DD when we met and gradually became a EE.  She complained about back problems and such all the time.  I understand that carrying extra weight on the front can cause you to bend at the back and that will cause back issues.  What my first wife did not factor into her problem was that her waist had grown proportionally to her breasts. 

When she went to our doctor to talk to him about this, he looked at her chart and her weight change.  He told her that he was not surprised that her back was hurting considering she looked as if her activity level had gone down significantly and her core strength (abdomen) appeared to be a bit atrophied.  His recommendation was that she first get off the couch and get outside more, strengthen her core, and come back to see him in 6 months.  The goofy witch did just that (the only time she ever listened to common sense) and, voila, her back pain went away.  Her cup size went back to a D/DD, but the exercise did a lot for her.

Ladies, what do you think?  I know this is just one anecdotal example, but I am curious as to what you have to say.

I have been told I am not to do any exercise because of my back. I am actually feeling ALOT better when I walk.  I am thinking seriously about doing crunches even though they hurt to see if I can have those results like your wife.  I am so desparate for the pain to stop.  My exteme meds are even not doing what they did in the beginning.  They actually upped me to 50mgs of Fentanyl yesterday, I was on 25mgs.  I am scared I am going to be on this shit the rest of my life and I don't want that.  I want to go a day without taking medicine or even a pill.
