I heard two Obamite lib female units and a Conservative woman discussing this on Fox News this morning, one of the Libs was touting how Julia had a 'professional field' as a web designer (Her career in this balderdash tale), which made me laugh. Calling 'web design' a real profession is like claiming you're a CPA because you can balance your checkbook correctly 10 times out of 12, or calling yourself a Cordon Bleu chef because you can more or less follow a cookbook to make an edible chicken cordon bleu.
It's one of the most bullshit things you can say. People who are real 'Professionals' in the sense of having some actual relevant degree path and some sort of credentials who do web design are generally possessed of the chops to call themselves "Software engineers," "Computer scientists" etc. instead, and do that to separate themselves from the rabble. Yeah, there are a few people with Madd Skillz doing web design who have no credentials of any sort and do great work, but for every one of them there are 99 chimps with cookbooks who are about as much real professionals as the illegal day laborers hanging out in the Home Depot parking lot are.
