"It will directly end up taking lives and maiming members of our military."

VMFA-122 based out of Beaufort, S.C., used the Crusaders symbol from 1958 up to 2008, when Lt. Col. William Lieblein pointed out that imagery invoking the Christian conquest and colonization of Muslims during the Middle Ages was counterproductive to U.S. soldiers based across the Arab and Islamic world.

"The notion of being a crusader in that part of the world doesn't float," he said, ordering the change to "Werewolves," as reported by the Beaufort Gazette at the time.

I don't think a cloth patch is the primary concern of the Marines attached to this squadron, retard.  It's more than likely the howling jihadis that will try and take their lives and maim them regardless of a ****ing patch..

  Had to ^5 you for that one, only problem I see is that the Jews have been running about in the Bible since time began.   I believe the Muzzies came in around 600-700 AD as it took time to get up to speed and piss the Brits off in the 1400'ds.   Meanwhile the Muzzies had managed to piss off anyone in their neck of the woods.

So anyone know who the Crusader was  that reported that riding into Constantinople the blood of the Muslim was up to the flanks of their horse ????

I got a fix for this... Just carpet bomb the Jihadists instead, they won't get close enough to be offended by some patch on a Marine's flak jacket that way.   :fuelfire:

+1.  If the images and symbols on a marine's flight suit at 22,000 feet are the biggest complaint the Jihadis have with us, then we obviously aren't killing enough of them.

It's not just a patch on a flightsuit,  it's also the emblem painted on the aircraft they fly. Sometimes its been pretty big in size, large enough to cover the tail on some designs.  It's still nonsense as to why it was changec just to not offend someone out to behead you. Like the man said, "it would be like handing out speeding tickets at the Indy 500".
