It seems to me that Ballygirl has posted one of the main reasons the DUmp hated him...he was a typical right-winger, supporting charities that help people.     You know the only good way to help someone is by taxing the evil-rich.

You people are jackals.

I'll bet she' and TommyTheTib are best friends!

Let me see, I just read the wiki on Thomas Kinklade (BTW, to the OP at DU, that's the correct spelling, well back to the wiki, what a "horrible person":

I must be an idiot because I can't find the link to the DU thread. Or maybe my clicker is broken.

While I really dont care for the gentlemans art work, I find it typical of the compassionate DUmonkies to be dancing on his grave.

What a bunch of self loathing idiots.

I like his prints, especially the little cottages...

My parents have a print or two of his in their home.  While his work is not exactly my taste, I had never understood why he got so much flack.  I guess, I should have suspected he was a right winger.  Creating art that normal people actually like is a bad thing, apparently.

Liberals hate him because he doesn't live off NEA grants and peddle indecipherable garbage as "art".

While his paintings arent my taste (my grandma loves his stuff) I can't see how anyone can claim he isn't an "artist".  When I went over there and read that thread, kpete was spewing her hate about how is isn't a true artist. I would love to see her try to paint one of his paintings.

It's so weird to me that you have living parents. Don't get me wrong, but I used to think you were about 75 years old.

I'm 36.  Maybe you have me confused with someone else, I don't post much.  Being mistaken for a 75 year old isn't such a bad thing online.

Very proud to supply you with your first BS, liberal. Maybe if Kinkade sank a crucifix in a jar of piss, you'd think more of it. Oh, wait, someone already did that and we paid for it.

If you don't like Kinkade, then spend your money on dope or Rage Against the Machine tickets or on whatever satellite dish one needs to watch Current TV or whatever idiot liberals waste money on.

LOL  You know, I'll grant you that the "painter of light" thing is over blown, but really.  For a first troll post, that was pretty shitty.  D-

You know, there is always a chance of trolls trolling trolls, but I find the concept of proud liberal hilarious.  Personal philosophies are a lot of things, but they are not hard to adopt.  I'm not a proud conservative, I have as much pride in my philosophy as I do in my shoe size.  I don't wear boots that don't fit, and I sure as hell wouldn't be proud of wearing them.

So what? like it or hate it, Mr Kincade made a living with his paintings.
Further his reproductions are so cheap that even the poor can afford to frame his work in their home.
He had a talent, marketed it successfully and supported his family. Hooray for him.

What is wrong is the grave dancing at DU. The guy has done nothing wrong.Maybe he wasn't a progressive, but that no reason to besmirch his name or take joy in his death.

DU needs to embrace diversity and allow others to think differently from them. How do you think Kincade's grieving family would feel if they ran across that thread at DU? Their is really no excuse for DU's ghoulish behavior.

Well the thread is still going strong at DU. 215 replies to a thread sliming an innocent guy.

For DU lurkers: Its threads like this that keep us watching you. You have no idea how dancing on the bones of a dead man make you (and progressives) look bad. When you engage in Christian or Jewish bashing...your bigotry and unreasoning hatred are noted and remembered. When you ignore muslim crimes its noted.

CC and Free Republic are not the only ones watching you. People from around the country look in at you and laugh. Even Rush Limbaugh has laughed at you on his show. Millions know about the brazen hatred and lunacy on display at DU.

Maybe if you showed a little respect towards others...it might just come back to you as well. But then I really doubt you are capable of showing respect anymore. It seems you've lost that ability.

So do you consider pictures of the Virgin Mary splattered with elephant dung or crucifixes immersed in jars of urine, "art" or not?
