Nads knows the Army

Was training to be a recruiter. Recruiters do not deploy. This gives credence to that claim from the lawyer.

So the army seems to have broken their word, not surprised, to a soldier who should have not deployed...and doing such may cost them the mission, given current demands and counter demands at the political level.

It is a tragedy for all concerned...but this is having repercussions beyond just the victims here.

What the army will try is drag this along to make it go away. But the mission...if they had kept their word, we would not be having this conversation by the way.

By the way two things

1.- I am not excusing him...though there is this thing called a trial, and he should not be the only one on the docket here.

2.- You think it's a-ok we keep deploying people over and over and over again? Or you think perhaps it's high time we have THAT conversation?

8. I am not mitigating a thing

I just understand that it is not black and white.

By the way, he did more than kill people. He may have killed a mission.

But hey, binary thinking is great. And yes, I hope repeated deployments are made part of the defense. It's high time we have that national conversation.

I blame the "Commander And Chief"* 0bama for all of this.

In a lot of ways, I suppose the net could be considered something other than real life. On the net a person could be something completely different than what he or she is in regular life. I guess we really don't have a sure way of knowing the real individual sitting behind the keyboard. Take me for instance, I say I'm a fictional spirit guide, but for all you guys know I could just be some regular human being with a computer. (Honestly though, I really am a fictional spirit guide).

With all that said I have to wonder if nads acts in real life in the same way that she acts on the net. If so, I wouldn't think that she would have any friends because most people wouldn't put up with such arrogant condescension.

edit to add: If you read this nads, you know I was your unofficial CC advocate during the course of last year's DOTY. Don't let up. Only a handful of people have won the award twice in a row. No one has won it three times in a row. Keep campaigning and show the world that you're the best.

For new members and lurkers: I am a fictional spirit-guide with no smell whatsoever. I am part irish setter and part pigeon. If you don't smell any strange smells it means I'm probably standing next to you. As I am a fictional character anything I post should possibly be considered fictional.

Nads do you self a favor and shut up about your knowledge of the military.

You make yourself look dumber than Beth, and that isn't an accomplishment of merit.

Your only experience with the military is ******* your old mans ****. :hammer:

As a former recruiter, might I pose a question to nads--how the **** does one "train to become a recruiter"?

I know what I had to do, and I "screened" for recruiter duty, but I never "trained to become a recruiter" until I actually left my last boat and went to Pensacola, and I'm pretty damned sure the process for the Army is the same.

It's that way in the Marines too; you are either in recruiters school or you aren't, it's not something that you "train" for.

Suffice it to say, Nads is a "trained historian", so she might think that everyone 'trains' to do anything.

That's not a joke.

Earlier this week, the jug-eared muslim's Secretary of Defense forced a couple hundred Marines to lay down their weapons in a war zone.

I wonder if that's ever happened before in the history of the Marine Corps.

I don't know what is supposed to be the "DOD lingo" here, but if it is 'kibosh', this reference does not credit the DOD at all.

Suffice it to say I nadined 'ironivpcally', had no success.

There are one or two Nadites who show up in every thread, cyberly nodding and soaking up every word.

Do they consider this 'cyber stalking' in the same way they consider anyone who disagrees?

You know, nadin's not even quite 50 years old yet.

But given all the careers she's had, the things she's done, even Methuselah couldn't jam them all into his lifetime.

Heck, Jake worked on recruitment with the recruiters when he was still a poolie. He loved it.

This reminds me of a joke.
A boyscout with a backpack,
and the world's smartest man,
Get on to a small airplane,
The boyscout gets to sit by the pilot,
and hangs his backpack from the seatback
Halfway through the flight,
The pilot tells his two passengers,
I have good news, and bad news,
Tell us the bad news first
The plane's about to crash
and we'll all probably die
without a parachute
What's the good news ?
We have two parachutes,
Who will it be ?
Before you know it the smartest man in the world
Says, I'm grabbing this parachute
I'm the smartest man in the world
And the world needs me more than he needs either of you
And out he went
Before the pilot could say anything, the smartest man in the world had jumped
Don't worry said the boyscout.
The smartest man ever in the history of the world or universe
Just jumped with my backpack.

My son did the same thing and it worked out very well for him.

I know a lot of guys that excelled as recruiters.  I always knew, deep down, that I would suck at it, I'm just not a people-person.  I did my 22 years without ever having to do either recruiter or DI duty, but I did more than my fair share of deployments to make up for it.

She claims he is a combat veteran, yet he is a retired Navy submarine quartermaster, when was the last time we had submarine warfare?
She also claims combat medic status for herself, fighting the cartels, hand to hand.

You are a joke nadin, keep it up.

Is not School training ?  DOH.

In your defense you did say Marines so the confusion is understandable
It is said that branches draw their life from the vine. Each is separate yet all are one as they share one life giving stem . The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.
