Definitely the biggest topic by far.  However, it is irritating to see conservatives ignore the actual words of the OP.  One of our beefs with Obama is his justice department's lack of enforcing the law, then we turn around and misread Santorum's promise to uphold the law because we may not agree with some of the laws on the book.

Banning porn aside because he simply won't be able to nor should he. I tried explaining it to someone on FR though it's hard to talk rationally with people who think the solution to all America's problems is restoring "morality". By legislation if they have to. That's no different than what the left wants to do only in the other direction. Conservatives should always be about limited government.

But this is what makes Santorum NOT ready for prime time. He gets sucked into this crap by the media all the time. When the tried to goad Newt on the whole slut thing, he turned it around on them and instead talked about his important issues. Here Santorum had the ear of the NATIONAL press...free publicity (considering how little money he has you'd think he'd really take advantage of these opportunity). He could have said something like, "I think morality is important for America to thrive but right now people are most concerned about the economy so here's what I'm going to do to help them..." If he can't even handle the media how is he ever going to handle communicating with leaders of a hostile country?

Hey, this is where some of my Conservative compatriots, and I disagree again. I personally like porn alright, and have use for it now, and again. (Uh, not having a girl, or "friends with benefits" makes it more of a thing, but I digress) Just as I have use for my television, radio, lights, etc now and again. Granted, it's more, but the relation still stands. If Santorum is going to stand against one's right to masturbate, I'm going to stand completely against him. I didn't see Santorum's quote the way some did here. I read it as enforcing existing laws  And my personal thoughts on the ease of access to pornography did a 180-degree turn the day my daughter was born. I agree with you all about the "consenting adults" part; but what a soul-killing way to make a buck.
