You'd think that the big-name press pukes who spent so much time building this up as a 'Winner take all' event might have actually taken the time to figure this out before acting like excited chimps on Red Bull all night Tuesday.
It's all about getting Romney the nomination. I'm sure a few of them knew about this, but hyped it as the "WINNER TAKES ALL! EVERYONE ELSE MIGHT AS WELL DROP OUT AFTER FLORIDA!...
unless Newt wins". They went on and on about how Romney 'won' in Iowa in order to give him a boost in New Hampshire and South Carolina, but only after a few days did they mention as an afterthought that Santorum really won there.
The media wants Romney because he will be the easiest for Obama to run against.
If Newt wins this (and I think he might), then I wouldn't expect much out of the media since the damage has been done and they will have moved on to the next "If Romney wins the primary in X, then it's all over" stories.
