Oh well hell.  I voted Newt as well.  The thought of voting for him makes me get sick a little less than all the others.

Ditto.  Rick Santorum is okay and getting better, but I still like Newt even if he occasionally comes across as a sleazy, untrustworthy SOB.

Jeezus, it's such a screwed up configuration.

Newt is tainted. And I don't like his economic plan because it offers a "choice." That smacks to me of failing to make a decision. And Michelle Malkin blasted Newt for lately hiding behind the NY Slimes, a liberal rag if there ever was one.

Santorum's economic plan actually TRIPLES the tax credit for children. Sorry, but that kinda shit doesn't square with me. It's tantamount to saying, "You're special because you have spawned children." I have three kids, but I never took a tax credit for them. I firmly believe those who do take tax credits for kids accept government subsidies and that ain't gonna happen in my home as long as I'm breathing. Plus, I'm just not the social conservative that he is, although I applaud his stance on the issues and understand 100% what he's saying.

Huntsman's plan, on paper, sounds better but he's just another Utah RINO. No substance, no background, no hope of ever getting any.

Rick Perry's flat tax of 20% isn't as aggressive as Newt's 15% and he's another one who can't make up his mind in making that flat tax an "option". So much for simplifying the tax code, Rick. You and Newt oughta be a couple.  :whatever:

Rick would absolutely falter in a debate with Lord Zero, as well. I just don't think he's capable of beating Barry, and that's what we need. And I just can't get past the idea that Perry's economic plan was something that he and his team threw together in direct response to Cain's 9-9-9 plan. I heard this on the radio so I do not have a source (I'm not sure it's even accurate), but Perry has grown the size of the state government in Texas 125% since being elected.  He may be anti-DC, but he's apparently no stranger to big government.

Maybe someone who lives there can correct me.  I haven't had time to do my homework, but he's a minor candidate at this point.

My stepson, who lives in Austin, tells me that it's pretty well-known that Perry's a fudgepacker.

If that's true, that wouldn't sit well with a great many voters..... :whistling:

Pardon me if I hang back a while yet and hold my vote for the time being.

Honestly I'm a bit mopey at this point. Since the fall of '08 I've been earnestly looking forward to 2012, much gnashing of teeth and stomping of feet, etc. I figured by now, following all the promise of hope and change foretold by the rise of the Tea Party and the glee of NO-vember '10 that the right would be fielding some heavy hitting candidates surfing in on a wave of popular oust the usurper mania right about now.


I was wrong.

Amnesty? Cap & Trade? Socialist healthcare? What the #&%@ happened to the republican party???!!!
If I hear Laura Ingraham have another on-air orgasm over Rinomney I am going to throw up.

At this point I figure might just as well don a blindfold, spin the wheel and throw a dart.
With my luck that might wind up turning out to be as I peek from below the blindfold, oh shit! Ron Paul???!!!  :thatsright:

I can't correct you, because you are right.  He is knee-deep in big govt.  Taxes, Toll Roads, Poor Border Control, Gardisil.  You name it.  He isn't your guy.

We see what total inexperience can bring to a nation with this Fool, Bobo, the Post Turtle.

There are only two candidates remaining in the GOP race that have ever run anything.  Romney and Perry.

Of those two I choose Perry.
