That explains why in his free time he likes to post on DU. He's gotten used to spending lots and lots of time around sewage.
Well now, dealing with sewage is one of those jobs
someone has to do, and more power to those who have the intestinal fortitude for the job. I've been in socialist paradises where sewage is considered a decadent western capitalistic
bourgeoise problem, and so it isn't dealt with, period.
With the inevitable results.
I know I couldn't do my fellow Nebraskan's job, no way.
But if compelled to do it, I'd handle it differently, so as to make the job easier.
I'd probably weigh 95 pounds, from a lack of appetite, meaning I wouldn't be messing up my back and having to use pharmaceuticals all the time. Surplus weight after all contributes a great deal to back problems.
And I'd probably be all shaven, so the stuff doesn't stick to me, and can be quickly washed off.
It seems to me my fellow Nebraskan's making his job harder than it has to be. It's a nasty job, but still, it could be somewhat easier on him.
And then after dealing with that stuff all day, I certainly wouldn't hang around Skins's island.
