"My little brother was stationed at NAS Alameda at the time, and he and his partner lived in the Castro District. They were part of that amazing candle-bearing throng that later paid tribute to Milk and Moscone."
Were they also part of the mob of lawless animals that then paid tribute to Milk and Moscone by rioting and destroying stuff?
btw, I don't think the title given to this thread is really accurate; It could possibly be argued that Moscone "Got what he deserved," on the grounds that his renegeing on his decision to give White his job back was likely what caused White to have murder on his mind, but Milk was only killed because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
