DixieBelle, happy birthday!
« on: November 20, 2011, 07:18:28 PM »
Happy birthday, madam!

This is a day early, as your 32nd isn't until tomorrow (Monday), but I'd be too late to have the honor of happying you first (i.e., someone else would beat me to it, and I wanted to be first).

Man, we go back a long ways; years and years, only five years shy of reaching clear back into the last century.

Never to be forgotten, the arguments at our old home about mayonnaise versus salad dressing, about real whipped cream versus chemical whipped cream, et al.  And you always going away for the holidays, leaving the rest of us stranded all alone.

You know, madam, I was always torn between you and Linda22003 over at our old home; loved you both (strictly in the platonic sense, of course; franksolich doesn't steal other men's women), two women of class and grace and distinction and elegance.....that is, until I found out Linda22003 was favorably disposed towards a certain obscure state college in Pennsylvania.

You're wonderful, and don't let anybody tell you otherwise.

Again, happy birthday!

Why thank you Frank! I knew my Southern grace and charm would win out. :-)

Today is shaping up to be wonderful! I took off Mon/Tue/Wed so I am off until next week! Looking forward to some solitude during the day at least while the family is either at work or school. Aaaaaaaaaaah. Coffee in my jammies without any interruptions beyond the dog nudging me to be petted. It's also foggy and 45 degrees. I may stay in all day!!!

Thanks again for the birthday wishes. You guys rock and make this place the bestest evah!!!

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle
