Quote
UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. (AP) — Police in the St. Louis suburb of University City say a suspect in a string of burglaries was caught after a homeowner reported finding him frying bacon in her kitchen.

Kenya Ealy says she returned home after an errand and found 36-year-old Damon Petty of St. Louis cooking breakfast.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

It isn't bad if you fry it in bacon grease.  :-)

The article is missing some very important details -

Was it center-cut bacon? Ends and pieces? Thick-cut? Maple-flavored? (yuck) Hickory-smoked?

After all, bacon is central to existence so these issues need to be addressed. I'm crushed that they weren't.  :bawl:

Yeah, I've still got to make Scoobie some of my LOBSTER mac and cheese.  She has yet to sample that decadent goodness.

My daughter brought over spaghetti last month.  I about barfed, and THEN she told me the sauce was made from ground turkey instead of ground beef.  Only thing worse than turkey subbing for beef or pork is that fake meat crap, like MorningStar, or whatever it's called. :censored:

The only way I want to eat turkey is for Thanksgiving and/or Christmas dinner, or in a sandwich.

Turkey bacon or sausage?  PUHLEEZE.

Hmmm, I wonder if RightCoast didn't get a few mysterious bitchslaps after crafting that post.  Bacon is sacrosanct in the cave.  None shall blaspheme.

I have had a BLT for lunch about 3 times this week.     I burn off the calories at night.  Good stuff.

I took a part time job flipping burgers and learned how to cook bacon and eggs after cooking them for 20 years.

Bacon, a sheet pan and a rack, oven set to 450.   place the bacon on the rack and cook for 25 minutes, remove from oven let cool 20 minutes, 1/2 pound of crispy non greasy bacon.

Eggs-----mix them with half and half, place in pan, place pan in larger pan with 1 1/2 inches of water, place in oven at 350 for 20 minutes.

Some brands are better then others, we were eating nearly 2 lbs of bacon a week as a family of 4 so making the change was pretty important to Mrs RC.

Remember years ago when they first came out with vegetarian "bacon?"  It was like strips of tofu or other vegetable matter, or possibly soylent green, with parts of it food-colored red/brown.  Who would eat that, let alone put good money down for it?  I'd rather eat real food, and work it off.  Same goes with butter.  And anything else.
