My reply was facts about hummingbirds, which is a damn sight more informative than the OP itself is. What rule does this violate? Is it likely to derail such an insightful OP? I'm all ears as to how this thread is what you want for DU.

So tell you what, I'll stop posting about famine and poverty and the environment, because clearly you guys prefer such witty and constructive OPs as this one. And besides, millions dying is so passe these days anyways, and doesn't drive up hits like a good flamewar does...

One less gay drama queen at DU.  Once in a blue moon, ol' ForkBoy did have a lucid moment, though, so the collective IQ has dropped again.  That site has the most aggressively piss-poor moderation on the internet, it's like it was a long-running graduate psych experiment in putting authoritarian ideologues in charge and then observing the results.

It was a DUmp thread about ol' Crazy Bernie, and the gayboy's reply got waxed because it discussed hummingbirds. If off-topic replies were held to such a draconian standard on this board, vestanumbers would never have seen the light of day. So...hmm.
