DUmmy Raven, the drunkard Pitt's mortified mother, appears to be bitter after being shitcanned from her job as Planning Director of tiny Rindge, NH, for posting vile comments about her ignorant fundie neighbors and employers. Even in tiny Rindge, with a city government so bloated that everyone in town works for everyone else, Jane was tossed to the wolves. She's so angry, she's back for a second round of bouncy tales about how stupid the Rindge fundies are:

" I get my public safety from the barrel of a gun."
" You just have to understand, some houses are going to burn."
"I have a plow on my truck so I can take care of myself."
These are real quotes from people I know who are fundamentalist Christians and likely Tea Baggers. They were made in connection with small town government and what it should do for its citizens...whether it should continue to fund police, fire and public works. What you see here is a survivalist mentality, a mind-set that says "I'll take care of me and my own and the rest of you can fend for yourselfs[sic]." These are people who don't expect their girls and most of their boys to go past high school. Many of them home school and don't really put much stock in education. Take this microcosm and enlarge it and I think you'll discover the driving philosophy behind the Tea Party and it's[sic] grip on the nation today. These folks simply don't care about the larger community, they don't believe in a larger community, they think they can live very well without the larger community or any meaningful government. They don't value education (which is probably why the Pell Grant program became a sticking point in Washington last week).
When I asked one of the folks I quoted above whether he thought the town needed to continue to support its ambulance service, he shrugged and shook his head and said, "Listen, things happen, it's God's will."
This, I believe, is a snapshot of what we're dealing with on a national level.

1. many survivalists
aren't doing it because it's insurance against the failure of the nation or world, they WANT the failure to happen and believe that they are uniquely situated to take advantage of such a failure. They envision a new world order with them on top (something they don't have now)
.

24. Yeah. Take planes, strap on a fully loaded gasoline tankers. Fly high over
their compounds, drop the tankers. Fire an incendiary at their compound. Sounds fanciful? The mentioned happens when society collapses. Any person that think they will be safe in chaos is a damned fool.
Cool, bluestatenumbers! Which movie was that? The Dirty Dozen? I know I've seen it, I just can't place the title.

45. The only house for miles around with lights on at night
will be beseiged by hundreds of hungry, cold, and armed to the teeth people.
Who will those rugged individualists call to come to their aid when all is chaos?
The first ones to die will be those that have something that others are willing to kill them for.
Someone will draw a bead on DUmmy Ikonoklast just for being a DUmbass prick.

2. Selfishness has grabbed hold of this Nation...
and it's not releasing its grip. I have met tons of people who just don't give a damn about others.
Does anyone give a damn about DUmmy NutmegYankee? I don't.

10. No, I don't think so.
A tribal mentality would have us banding together in actual "tribes" for mutual aid.
What we see here with these gun-totin' bible-thumping freaks is a sociopathic mentality, the same kind that celebrates the "lone cowboy" or the "mountain man".
"Jeremiah Johnson lived alone in the mountains, I can too."
When their 6-month supply of MREs run out, they'll take their guns and come down to our village looking to take what they need.

26. If thugs really wanted you, they would come armed with firepower that
you could not remotely matched. You may kill one or two, but you and your family would get slaughtered. You are better off becoming a public nuisance for the cops and irritating their chief's ass until he or she do their job right.
Damn it! Who tipped off bluestatenumbers?

12. I know a lot of those people around the town where I was raised. They don't like
educated people.
