How many billions of dollars would a 4 cent tax on those three catagories raise? How many billions of soda cups, bottles and cans are used monthly in America? How many billion bottles of water and flavored waters? How many billion bottles of gatorade? How many billions of dollars are raised by taxes on cigs and booze? Why not tax these other beverages? They aren't essential or nutritious. Why not?????????
As long as that idea doesn't apply to beer we're all good.

We all know it's trash for your body. That should be given a sin-tax.I feel that bad eating habits are nipping at the heels of smoking as far as health care costs go.Wanna feed your kids a happy meal? Fine. But pay a 5% tax on your bill. Lords knows smokers and drinkers have been funding the government for years. Why should unhealthy junk food be any different?

How about 'No', 'Invite me over to see what YOUR lifestyle needs taxed' (n/t)
My energy drinks are already taxed at .12 cents a can. STFU, Dummie. Can we start taxing your stupidity? Think of how much money that would bring in.
I say we need a pie tax.
I dunno about over there but beer is taxed quite heavily already here. Not as much as spirits or tobacco, but still not an insubstantial amount.

Yes, I know.Every year it goes up.Can't even buy a brick for under $40AUD anymore. (brick=case)Fifteen to sixteen bucks for a bloody six pack.
My favourite cheap domestic swill is circa $40 for a 30 pack of cans.
From the man that knows.I tip one for the man from Oz. Step away from the VB, mate.XXXX heavy is mine. Please don't say say Cascade.
XXXX heavy is good , but I'm more partial to Tooheys New. VB is just Very Bad. It's sheeps piss and formaldehyde repackaged. There are several other fairly colourful terms for it that I won't use here.Cascade is for damn hippies and beer snobs.
