Pulled pork also works great in the slow cooker 3 pound butt roastyour choice of dry rub - I used Emeril's Creole Seasoning recipe1 small onion chopped2 cloves of garlic, chopped1 bottle of beer (recipe called for root beer but we had a stale bottle of Samuel Adams Blackberry beer hubby had forgotten)Some liquid smokeSome molasses (to make up for the sugar that would have been in root beer. If you don't like sweet BBQ leave this out.)Simmer on low all day. Shred the pork. Remove most of the liquid from the cooker, and put meat back in. You want enough liquid to barely moisten the meat. Add your choice of BBQ sauce, heat through and serve however you like.

There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site

Ewwwww, cooking the ribs with baked beans? I love ribs and I love baked beans, but not to cook together like that.
Please help me out here. How is this postworthy?
My thoughts exactly. Someone needs to be throat-punched for ruining a perfectly good rack of ribs.
Just try and imagine what that would look like on a plate. Belongs here: The Gallery of Regrettable Food
Ribs in sloppy joe sauce?
And beans? Over rice? Why?
Hmmmm...a lot of their money saving tips on buying food involve both large sacks of beans and/or rice. Maybe this DUmmie followed this advice and is stuck with a pantry full of both. If so, beans and rice are going to be a major ingredient in any recipe whether if it calls for them or not.
My husband asked me once if I wanted cheese on my BLT, I looked at him like he had two heads.
Red beans and rice is one of nature's perfect foods! Of course, nowhere does one add sloppy joe sauce, but still...
