Happy Quitaversary: PoliticusUSA’s Tribute To Sarah Palin’s History Fails

It was just two short years ago today that Sarah Palin decided that she hated the damn job of being governor of Alaska so much that she had to quit. To mark the occasion, here are some of Palin’s biggest history fails.

The problem began when Sarah Palin was running for governor in 2006:

Question: Are you offended by the phrase “Under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance? Why or why not?

Palin: Not on your life. If it was good enough for the founding fathers, its good enough for me and I’ll fight in defense of our Pledge of Allegiance.

More.. and happy fourth of July folks.

Note to DUmmies, the founders believed in God so suck on it.

4. Totally offensive
from a religious point of view. Orthodox Jews, myself included, do not even say G-d outside of actual prayer, but use the Hebrew of "The Name, " HaShem instead. There is a problem with our money because G-d is written on it; it must not be exposed in immodest situations, e.g., when using the bathroom.

But I haven't said the pledge since the Viet Nam war.

9. I don't do the "pledge" thing
.... but the truth is, I really don't care. I would never engage in an effort to remove it ... nor would I do anything to preserve it.

14. Yes, when it is unavoidable that I stand for the pledge, I do not say those words.
Because I do not make "pledges" about things
that I do not believe.

That would be "lying".

16. I don't see the pledge as American.
Allegiance to a piece of cloth, that stands for a republic? That's the same as "my country, right or wrong." Why should I be loyal to a government that's run by a corrupt plutocracy?

And the only way that we could be under god, is if god was the servant of the people, instead of something that was invented to scare children.

18. I'm only offended by why it was stuck in there. I will never say
"under god". If ever asked to lead the pledge I will decline. If I had to I would pause slightly at that point and let everyone get that in.

I always tell people that "one nation indivisible" was good enough for the kids that grew up and fought in WWII. We didn't need it back then, don't need it now.

25. More like annoyed. I'm more offended that the last line of the pledge is a lie. I also object to
pledging allegiance to a flag. Anyone can carry a flag.

30. Whenever I have to say the pledge,
I just do not say "under god." I remain silent at that part.

42. Yes. It's a violation of the 1st Amendment in my view, and worse, it's a political artifact
of the communist/socialist witch hunts. I fail to see why anyone even vaguely on the political left could support leaving that degrading abomination inside our national pledge.

And we're not supposed to question their patriotism...

Again and again DUmmies reveal why they can never ever be put in charge of any govt function.
I really hope these idiots try to revolt someday. It's way past time to cull the herd.

How can an Orthodox Jew, in good conscience, be a member of a site that hates Jews?

How can somebody who dislikes lying, in good conscience, be a member of a site that constantly lies? Unless, of course, it is lying about its stance on lying.

  • All in all, not bad, not bad at all
You hear about people like these pledge-haters every now and then, and you always shake your head and say "what a weirdo nut!".
Well here's is a website with a whole crowd of weirdo nuts in one place.

I am happy that they are offended. When something offends a DUmbass, it is merely confirmation that that thing is correct and righteous.

^5 I haven't seen that since ??? Awesome to remember that!'

Hmmm. I'd like to see these poor bastards if Shari Law ever took over which it would if these idiots were put in position of administration for any length of time...then they'd be on their knees kissing, and finding GOD while sewing new flags to fly.

I always chuckled and felt uncomfortable when I heard people say Liberalism is a mental disorder, but if it walks like a duck talks like a duck and acts like moron it is a moron.

What a bunch of numbrods :hammer:!! :mad:We pledge allegiance to the symbolism of what the flag represents. "Under God" is a very general phrase, not necessarily the Christian God"
