And then doused at 4:02 p.m.

This must be "over twelve hours" in the primitive perception, given their short attention-spans.

I think they're saying that the story itself is over 12 hours old and thus doesn't qualify for their "Latest Breaking News" forum. Still, they never have a problem shuffling posts around to different, more appropriate forums when the mood strikes them.

They just wanted to kill this one quickly.

I think this is really smart marketing by the good folks at the Silver Bullet Gun Oil Company.
Sunni muzzies spend millions to kill Shi'ite muzzies.
Shi'ite muzzies spend millions to kill Sunni muzzies.
Both flavors of muzzie would love to deny the other flavor from entry to Paradise.
If they can reduce the number of muzzies qualifying, some day Allah may change his policy to 80, or even 100 virgins for each muzzie martyr.
Both flavors of muzzie will want to soak their bullets, bombs, rifle bores, and suicide vests in Silver Bullet Gun Oil.
That's a lot of gun oil sales.
