Not shiny stuff, Flame.

You want pastel.

You want to draw attraction to yourself, not your clothes.

actually, frank, I don't want to draw attention to myself OR my clothes...I just don't want to be an embarassment to my daughter!

Flame, have you ever looked at Cold Water Creek?  http://www.coldwatercreek.com/

Oh this you could wear again, it could be dressed up with a pair of back slacks or down with a pair of jeans.

Is something like this too plain?

http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/womens/womens16w24w/shirtsblouses1/PRD~314142/apt+9+Solid+Blouse++34+Sleeves.jsp

Not if you wear a chunky necklace with it.  I love Apt. 9, I shop at Kohls all the time.

Oh no.

Gasp.

The first one would make Flame look like a geisha girl.

The second one would make Flame look like a Thai femme d'noir.

You have no style, I SO would wear the "geisha" one.  I love it, in fact I may just buy it for myself.

You know, Brown-Eyed One...

Did you just call her an a-hole?

I keed! I keed!

Ooops.  I wasn't aware.

I'll have to evolve a better nickname for her then; one without "girl" in it.

Really, I hadn't noticed.  Damn.

Brown Eyed Girl...hmm...

Van Morrison....

How about: Calypso.

Calypso or Kalypsó/Kālypsō (Greek: Καλυψώ, English translation: "I will conceal"), was a naiad and a daughter of Atlas who lived on the island of Ogygia in Greek mythology. Her name has also been listed among the list of the Nereids, which would make her a daughter of Nereus. The latter classification in accord with her islands' proximity and association with the sea, as opposed to inland water.

The fabled Greek hero Odysseus was imprisoned on her island, Ogygia, thought to be the modern day Gozo as punishment for Odysseus's blinding of Poseidon's son, Polyphemus. Athena asked Zeus to spare Odysseus of his torment on the island, as he wanted to go to his homeland. Zeus sent Hermes, the messenger of the Gods, to tell Calypso to release Odysseus. As Zeus was the Lord of the Gods, she was unable to refuse him, although she wished to. Odysseus eventually returned to his homeland of Ithaca, to be with his beloved wife Penelope who waited for him at home, even though Calypso had promised him immortality if he stayed.

According to Hesiod, Calypso bore Odysseus two children: Nausithous and Nausinous. The island of Gozo, part of the Maltese archipelago, has a long tradition that links it with the mythical figure of Calypso.

No good, Brown Eyes.

That one would exaggerate Flame's hippery w-a-a-a-a-y too much.

Well, now, Flame is a woman--I assume, but given the recent revelations about Yosemite Sam, aka California Peggy, I'm not quite so comfortable thinking that any more--and Flame isn't trying to look good for other women.

Flame is trying to look good to we men.

I think Flame would be an eye-grabber for men, in tweed.

The Clare Booth Luce in Connecticut look.

I think you have a fixation on tweed.

Warning! Tweed underwear chafes!

Tweed is lovely. Tweed is classic. Tweed is brutal in May in the South. :-)

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

I ain't no lady, but I have an opinion anyway.  Use your daughter's wardrobe as a guide for how to dress.  Dress up to that level, in your own fashion of course.  And wear heels.

If you don't know how to walk in heels, practice.  Remember to aim to put each foot almost in front of the other during your walk.  You will learn "The Glide".
I bet you look bitchin' in an evening gown.

I like that one too, BEG. I'm generally a bit more tailored though, believe it or not. I love jackets and something very minimal :uhsure: under it.

I really like those last two choices.

I like that in the black or the white, but I don't know that it is what flame was looking for. Very pretty though, free. I may have to give you a high 5 for that one :naughty:

It's April 18th and it's 83 degrees right now at 6PM, here close to where she's gonna be.
Yes, tweed is lovely, tweed is classic, but poor Flame would be sweatin' like a plow mule if she wears it now.
