Sick call hours are from 0700 - 0900. If you need to be seen after hours you can go the the TMC.

Take your Motrin Ranger candy and GTFO.

Yeah, I've heard that shit before! Tell ya what, they next time I'm shoein' horses and mules, or loadin' 1,000lb cows into a trailer they don't want to get in, I'll give ya a call, Snuggles!

Question here for you guys and gals,

I have noticed in the last couple of years huge bill boards advertising Pain Clinics.    I gave it little thought until FOX NEWS had a interview with a Doctor in one of the States that allow them to prescribe pot for any number of reasons.

Is this a scam or is it good far thinking Doctors that want to get on the bandwaggon early as they see $$$$$ in their future???

I do know Maine is looking for areas to grow medical pot as they tried to put the business in my small home town last year.   It was decided that the area picked for the operation even with multie million dollar security was not a good choice so the big business are looking up north for a more suitable location.

The logistics of an operation is staggering, the medical technologists needed for QC. the equipment and chemicals needed to enhance the soil, at first building this operation would from the ground up create 200 jobs from the git- go, and once completed have perhaps 30 total permanent crew.

Far as those that need RX for costly pain relief, take a page out of the book the old timers use.  Just because old timers and Yankees at that, any way to extend what ever time they have left pain free will be used.

They get a good size dog, 80-120 pounds and have a Veteranian perscribe the drug they need, for the dog.  The RX itself will say --Dog 0r Cat on it--  Cost will be less then $10.00 per month and  the Seniors living on a fixed income get the help they need and the bonus of a new family member.

All this American ingenuity does not come from the youth, it comes from those with constant pain and no relief. The seniors that face spending the last few years of their lives in blazing Hell.

When I first hurt my back, it took me 2 years to convince them I actually had an injury. It didn't show up until they did a mylogram, ( that's real fun, but I wouldn't recommend it, hehe )! When I got home at night after walkin' concrete all day, the kids had to help me outa the car!

The whole problem was the fraudsters! The Comp guys automatically think nowadays that you're just tryin' to scam the system. Problem was my ****in' employer, who I had made millions of dollars, had the same train of thought!

It's not one of my fonder memories!

Turns out, completely rupturing the disc at L4-L5 and losing all feeling in my right leg, except the leg feeling like it is on fire, will allow the dr to prescribe appropriate meds to dull the pain without too much trouble.  Had a little issue about 3 months after surgery, but my dr performed a test to show which nerves were not working right. (Not a test I'd recommend...very painful and just plain weird with my leg jumping even though it wasn't supposed to.)  The only "issue" I really ran into is my primary care dr won't write any script for my back problems, has to go through my neurosurgeon.
I'd love to be off pain meds and the neurontin, but doubt that will happen anytime soon, if ever.

Unfortunately, once ya have nerve damage there's not much they can do. I've heard lately of some kinda of shot they inject straight into the nerve area that's supposed to be the cat's meow. However, unless you have extremely good insurance, it's not an option for some people. They run $3,000/treatment, and ya need one every 6 weeks, from what I understand.

If ya have decent insurance, ya might ask your neuro about them. From what I have been able to find out, they can postpone surgery sometimes indefinitely. I have to wait until I'm back on "Toots" insurance in June, but I intend to give them a try.

I'm sure under ObumblerCare, they would be considered frivolous for someone my age! They'd just want to give me another pill. Like I don't take enough now!

You'd be better off taking Lyrica and vicodin, if that will work for you. My neurologist prescribed some Neurontin for me. I took them for three days. I lost a week of my life. My primary care Doc writes  what I need or ask of him, within reason. He's pretty cool.

I've had the EMG tests done twice, back in 07 and again in 09. They suck. The first time wasn't so bad. The second time almost brought tears to my eyes.

I was inside CVS a couple of weeks ago, getting a Rx refill (non pain) that I had transferred.

I hadn't been inside the store, at the pharmacy, in a long time, so I don't know how long it had been posted, but they had a sign up at the drop-off window, that oxy prescriptions could take up to 48 hours to fill.

I asked the pharmacist about it, and he said they verify all oxy 'scripts before they are filled. He said that was the best they (CVS) could do to protect themselves from filling fraud 'scripts and getting in trouble for it.

Isn't Lyrica like $1100/month, though? Puts it way outa my wallet! The pain Management Practitioner put me on Gabapentin to help me sleep. It's a Godsend! First time in years I've slept more than 4 hours!

What does any of this have to do with the OP?
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

No, the DEA watches the prescriptions that the Doctors write. That's WHY they're very careful when writing scrips for narcotics, amphetamines & other street marketable medications.

Opiates are very addicting and really nasty with the withdrawals.

IMO, all of these culprit Doctors should have their medical licenses suspended for a while. If a Dr. gets caught writing fake prescriptions, they may very well lose their licenses for good. I see them as parallel and equally as bad.

Exactly. That is so unethical of them. They should lose their license.

This is out and out fraud! Give me an example of any other licensed profession that could get away with this on National TV! If any one of us pulled somethin' like this, the MSM would be screechin' bloody murder on every alphabet channel there is! If ya listen to the MSM right now, they're tryin' to set them up as martyrs to the cause before any disciplinary action is taken!

Tryin' to sway a jury already are we?

Fraud sick slips vs fraud prescriptions. We're merely stating that they're in the same category. All threads get jacked. At least we were pretty much tangential.

They way I heard it tell - the medical profession these days are so shit-scared of litigation that they're happy to write a "Johnny was sick today and needs time off to recuperate" note because the consequences of a patient being injured or causing injury while on the job and "sick".
