My Mad City Counter Protest Trip
« on: February 19, 2011, 06:36:22 PM »
Well, I may, or may not take to uploading the pics I took. Combined with this being my first event, and the sunlight blaring in my face/in the camera, most of them turned out shitty...

However, I will say it was for the most part, a nonviolent protest. Way more violent rhetoric from the left than the right as we all know, and the Scott walker supporters were few, and far between. There were still several of them, though. Police were trying to prevent Walker supporters from entering the area to the stage was the word that got around. Hell, I didn't even find the damn thing. There were absolutely TONS of cops, and the usual chants from both sides. However, I'd say the protest crowd outnumbered the counter-protest crowd 4:1, and maybe more. This was their day. Congratulations. Bask in it today, DUmb ****s. For in a week, 2 weeks, a month...you will be sporting "frowny faces."

And and one more thing. The only violence I saw was a guy who came up to me, told me to "get the **** off his corner" and spit on my leg. You'll be glad to know I kept my cool, and just heckled him back, but MAN, I wanted to break his jaw!

That's my report for now. I'm tired, and my voice is about shot, so I'll explore what everyone watching from afar has said. :cheersmate:

Glad you got to protest and were safe. So what's the everyday Wisonsin's view of the unions and these protesters?

That's good, they outnumber the batcraps!

Very true. The silent majority outnumbers them. HOWEVER...not today. The majority were the thugs today. I was part of the UNSILENT minority today. :fuelfire:

I'd ask you if you found out what his DUmmy name is but we both know none of those morons would ever venture out of their parents' basements for anything other than a Cheeto refill.

Good job, Rev!  :cheersmate:

...or a bag of weed. :stoner:

The libtard legion may be feeling victorious at this point as they gaze upon the scene and see very few out opposing them. Fool's glory. Conservatives aren't the sort to take to the streets in the form of a blathering mob. They have already spoken at the polls and sent a republican to the Governor's office.

I can imagine the oceans of garbage these morons will leave in their wake on the streets of Madison once they have exhausted their tantrum.

Won't even be there to see it. I'll let Fair & Balanced take care of showing that coverage on my behalf.. I went to state facts. Madisonians don't like facts...

Ahhh, I think you'll get your chance. Nevada is rumbling with the same kind of stuff WI is now. It'll come, and then you can tell us about your experience.

I don't envy you. Scary Reid will be in full form, I expect.

We are having issues with our firefighter's "planning" their sick days and then using their sick days as vacation days basically.  It doesn't seem too bad around here yet.  But, if shit hits the fan, I'm prepared to take my loud mouth out there and fire up the liberal crowds.  ;)

Way to go Rev!!! Seriously, what in the hell do these tax funded workers think is going to happen when they demand more from taxpayers?

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

You should see the argument someone is having with me about these protests on Facebook.  I've just given up at this point.

I've seen it.  To call that person a window licker would be an insult to window lickers.
