Yes....and we're having temps in the upper 50's today, going to the 60's through next weekend....supposed to be 68-70 on Thursday and Friday!!! I'm so excited that there are no cloudy days, no gray days, and no snow forecasted!

I figure this week, if the weather does what it's supposed to, the flowers (daffodils, tulips, etc) will start edging up out of the dirt, and the trees will start to bud out. Grass will green up. All my pansies are getting new blossoms on them already.

It will probably snow in about 10 days or so..... :thatsright:

One of my sisters lives in Mars Hill, NC, fairly close to Asheville.  I truly envy her the mountains, the greenery and the beautiful flowers everywhere.  I have mountains, and during the summer monsoon season we have greenery, but I would love to have a grass lawn instead of grey gravel.
I do miss four seasons.  Oh well, here is where hubby's career has landed us and we wouldn't do as well elsewhere except DC, and that is a prospect much less pleasing than AZ.

Hey! I went for a walk this morning. I took the Dog. The casual observer couldn't tell what sex I was. My eyes were visible.

Best of luck on your move, Tuck! (Yeah, packing, sorting, moving, deciding, it all sucks. I've moved so many times I haven't had time to save much, but it still sucks dog balls.)

We are headed for mostly-west-Tennessee-without-going-to-Memphis-or-Millington.

Jackson, in Madison County. It's the best-kept secret in TN. (But I have to finish out my prison sentence first, i.e., my second career, before final retirement in maybe 8 years or less.)

We went walking yesterday afternoon over in Oak Ridge along Melton Hill Lake. Not on the "glow" side, but up above, just where we could inhale the air from the Bull Run steam plant.  :lmao:

Can someone explain to me, why a humongous steam plant, that provides electricity to thousands of households and business, would be open to public access...with no guards?!?!?!  :o

The access road to the water for fishing, is not 10 feet from the wire fence (which is probably 15' high) with the big electric outdoor wire frame thingies, not 10 feet on the other side of the fence. Some freak could do a hell of a lot of damage, and be miles away in less than 5 minutes.  :censored:

Jackson is full of liberals.

We are predominately conservative here.  :yahoo:

Re: Jackson, I think not, my dear. Jackson has its share, no doubt, but the climate - especially up in 3-Way (no jokes, please - this is a legitimate "suburb" of Jackson) and Humboldt is most definitely conservative. Besides, there's a big honkin' ammo plant in Humboldt.  :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

After having lived in an area in which I can do what I want to my property, why screw it all up and move back to the city where I can't even scratch my balls without offending somebody?   O-)

Ok...Jackson isn't liberal.  :whatever:

Since I live with 2 men who seem to have a fascination with scratching their parts (  :???:  :thatsright:  :whatever: ), I don't see why you think that would be an issue over here.

Unlike some others, at least they don't do it in public....or if they do, I'm not around to see it.  :whistling:

I believe I said that Jackson "has its share" of libs - but the flavor of the town isn't nearly as lib as I've seen in Columbia, MO. Hell, I've lived in West Berlin, Germany, and that freakin' place was crawling with libs everywhere I went. I'll bet there are even some libs in Knoxville! Gasp! The horror!   :overreaction:

Well, if I were to live in town with the associated small yards, scratching my balls out in the back might be seen as offensive by a lib or two - which is why I'd not have a problem with living up in Humboldt where the air is clearer (must be all that cordite in the air!)   :-)

Now that I think about it, saying I'll live in "Jackson, TN" isn't quite accurate. I'd live in the greater Jackson community, but not necessarily in town. Sorry for any confusion.

If they're like most men, scratching one's balls simply has to be done when the urge strikes - either that, or you've got those guys terrorized!  :rotf:

Yep....there are libs here too. It's a University town.

Jackson's only about 5 hours away. Y'all can come over here to visit when you have an urge to see "pretty" scenery.

I can definitely imagine the "Turbo" handle, especially when you're in the kitchen in a frenzy.
