One of my sisters lives in Mars Hill, NC, fairly close to Asheville.  I truly envy her the mountains, the greenery and the beautiful flowers everywhere.  I have mountains, and during the summer monsoon season we have greenery, but I would love to have a grass lawn instead of grey gravel.
I do miss four seasons.  Oh well, here is where hubby's career has landed us and we wouldn't do as well elsewhere except DC, and that is a prospect much less pleasing than AZ.

Hey! I went for a walk this morning. I took the Dog. The casual observer couldn't tell what sex I was. My eyes were visible.

Best of luck on your move, Tuck! (Yeah, packing, sorting, moving, deciding, it all sucks. I've moved so many times I haven't had time to save much, but it still sucks dog balls.)

We are headed for mostly-west-Tennessee-without-going-to-Memphis-or-Millington.

Jackson, in Madison County. It's the best-kept secret in TN. (But I have to finish out my prison sentence first, i.e., my second career, before final retirement in maybe 8 years or less.)

We went walking yesterday afternoon over in Oak Ridge along Melton Hill Lake. Not on the "glow" side, but up above, just where we could inhale the air from the Bull Run steam plant.  :lmao:

Can someone explain to me, why a humongous steam plant, that provides electricity to thousands of households and business, would be open to public access...with no guards?!?!?!  :o

The access road to the water for fishing, is not 10 feet from the wire fence (which is probably 15' high) with the big electric outdoor wire frame thingies, not 10 feet on the other side of the fence. Some freak could do a hell of a lot of damage, and be miles away in less than 5 minutes.  :censored:

Since I live with 2 men who seem to have a fascination with scratching their parts (  :???:  :thatsright:  :whatever: ), I don't see why you think that would be an issue over here.

I believe I said that Jackson "has its share" of libs - but the flavor of the town isn't nearly as lib as I've seen in Columbia, MO. Jackson's only about 5 hours away. Y'all can come over here to visit when you have an urge to see "pretty" scenery.  :tongue:
