$2.93/9 here but it was $2.81/9 at Sam's Club Saturday 30 miles away....no, I'm not driving there to save 12 cents a gallon.

Pretty much the same here -- but Sam's is around the corner.

Wait, you get 12 cents a gallon off?  I get a freaking nickel!  It makes it just a little over $3/gal for premium which is all I put in my car.

Well, heck, I ain't driving anywhere until the weather improves here in northern MN.  My newest car doesn't like snow so much, I recently found out.

I'm retired, so don't have to go anywhere anyway.

Right before our Christmas storm, prices went up here from $2.82 to $2.99 in less than a day.

The darned government gets their pound of flesh one way or the other. Florida doesn't levy a state income tax nor have the annual personal property tax and no tax on food, but they tax the heck out of gas. When we were in Missouri over Thanksgiving, we were amazed to see gas at under $3.00 a gallon. Sure enough, the minute we hit Florida, it was about $3.50 a gallon. Right now it's at $3.27 a gallon at Costco.

Good thing that we don't drive much and have a Ford hybrid now. I'm not crazy about the car, but it is satisfying to not have to buy premium gas and to use less gas, hence giving less money to the government. We average about 40 mpg.

We drive from SW MO to the panhandle of Florida about once or twice a year.

There for a few years, gas in Pensacola was the cheapest of the entire trip.

It's probably cheaper in the panhandle than around Sarasota. Our gas here is more expensive than north near Tampa or south near Ft Myers. It's probably all the libtard politicians who moved here from the east coast of Florida. NY state is emptying out and they're all moving here to dodge the taxes. Problem is they're bringing their libtard, big tax ideas with them.

Gas in St Louis was relatively cheap, ditto SE Missouri. We usually take the route to STL through Atlanta and get caught in too much traffic. The route through the hills (or mountains whatever your viewpoint) might get dicey in the winter, so we took the route through the panhandle and Alabama, Miss. this time. It's a bit longer but we thought safer around Thanksgiving.

That's the way it happens every where the northern carpetbeggars go.

Only about 10% of the northern invaders are conservative but I have to give those credit....they're the mostest, bestest, most active conservatives we have around here. We need to cull the invading species.

I'm sure that I'm considered a northern invader here, but Missouri was always a border state way back in the civil war times (hey, not that old but read history).

Some of the folks that I consider true northerners here in Florida are the nicest folks I've ever met. When we moved here and both had health issues, the neighbors were way more helpful than my STL neighbors ever were (and I lived in St Louis most of my life, a native).

But there are some really obnoxious northern libs here. I'm at the point with some of the super libtards where I volunteer that I just totally ignore them, rarely even say hello. They're so superior acting and so steadfast in their Obama loving, worshipping ideas that it's no use giving them the satisfaction of trying to put conservatives down. The technique has worked with one of them. He doesn't smirk anymore. Or if he does, I don't notice it as I simply don't bother. It's taken me a long time to figure that one out.  :-)

Yup--up 20 cents in the last two weeks.  Time to get another fill on the oil tank before it hits $4/gal.

$3.07/9 this morning.....should have bought yesterday, I could have saved 40 cent on the fillup.

Have the democrats figured out a way to tax a savings on early gas purchases before the price goes up? ....or are they working on it?

I've noticed that prices have been fluctuating very frequently around these parts.  Last week, it dropped back down to $3.05.  Yesterday morning, it was $3.15, and rose to $3.32 by the night-time drive.

Weird.

Their plan is just to keep the prices high and always increasing.  If that doesn't work, some of them want to raise the tax on gas.

202 gallons of oil.  $800.  On top of the $750 for the first fill, and the extra 100-150 gallons I'm going to have to put in to finish up the winter.

Doubling or tripling the federal tax on gasoline has always been an objective of Democrats/Liberals. If the Democrats ever gain a majority in both houses and the Presidency, it will happen.

Seen the price of diesel?  It is way out of sync with gas pricing.  I have never seen the divergence this bad.

This has been a pretty rough winter all around, the one two punch is not over yet.  All the plowing and sanding will stretch the local budgets and they still have to contend pot holes come spring.  Taxes will be going up.

ETA:  I was just out to grab some pellets and noticed the price of diesel at the Sunoco at  the 95 exit.  $4.19
