You must have some pretty ****ing amazing eyesight to be able to see "Hundreds" of family members waiting for an overdue sub at Norfolk from whatever ****ing bar you were hanging in at Grotan all the way up in Connecticut.
If you are going to tell a lie to prove a point DO NOT stand on the graves of dead sailors to make it. Are we TOTALLY ****ING CLEAR HERE?!
You Sir or Madam are a nincome poop.
There is something most different between telling a lie and misremembering something from the past that you witnessed.
Not only were we able to watch on TV the family's waiting and get updates of the unfolding tragedy but we had newspapers and WSUB radio giving much conflicting information hour to hour. Groton was a SUB comunity and my navy housing held hundreds of family's with husbands on the boats.
When this happend the dependants of the SSBN my hubby was on kept my phone ringing off the hook as the boat was due to leave for patroll in 48 hours from the Locks in Scottland.[ Blue Crew]
For 3 firkin months we at that time would have no idea if our boat had gone down also.
It is not a frigging lie to get those two ports confused after 40 years or so, and each time the boat was on rotation from Blue to Gold crew we and the crew still had no idea what happend, It was a few years until they found the Scorpion and made us more anxious.
Now about history, are you going to tell me there were no race riots aboard ships off the Coast of Nam.??
Go on tell me there was no General in Nam that made his officers salute his pet duck or sent medic evack choppers into Saigon for Pizza.
Then Explain to me the navy ships in the 80's that had a crew of USN sailors and all Officers were Merchant Marine. Or did I just dream doing an AB rip off and re lagging the engine room on the Kings Port.???
