Well obviously the correct answer is: "no, it's the fat that makes you look fat." But who wants to hear the truth? :-)

Hell no, it makes you do something about it if you have to know the truth. It's funny how once you start doing something about it though, you actually prefer truth over false flattery isn't it?
Exactly!!! Those comments only hurt me when they are true and I'm not doing anything to reverse the situation. Telling me I'm out of shape while I'm proactively working on getting back into shape doesn't really bother me.
I can see November 2 from my house!!!

Spread my work ethic, not my wealth.

Forget change, bring back common sense.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Couldn't agree more, Dixie and I think that is because when you are being proactive, you know you are moving towards a goal. Even if something is said in a mean-spirit, it really matters very little to your character and you easily weed it out and if it's said constructively, you take it in, and use it as more motivation towards a goal. I'm with you, sister!  :-)

Now where did those men run off too?  :evillaugh:

Shutting up. Taking Wretch's advice.  :innocent:
Let nothing trouble you,
Let nothing frighten you.
All things are passing;
God never changes.
Patience attains all that it strives for.
He who has God lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.

Well, that would make sense, except for the fact that Dixie and I are perfect. There is nothing you have to shut up about around us.  :-) :innocent: :fuelfire:

personally, I think absolute silence is the only correct answers in some situations. :uhsure: :whatever:

"Is she prettier than me?"  :fuelfire:  answer:  "Aren't they all?"

"What are you thinking about?"  :fuelfire:  answer:  "Nothing you would understand."

"Did you hear what I just said?"  :fuelfire:  answer:  "Yes, but it didn't merit a reply."

"Does this dress make me look fat?"  :fuelfire:  answer:  "Don't blame it on the dress."

 :pokingpoop:
