Ooooooooooooooh, that's gonna leave a mark! Bwahahahahahahahahahaha! Ain't it just amazin' how many times the mostest, smartest, people on the planet outsmart themselves? hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!
After thinking about it, I suspect the severance clause was an oversight, but the intention was to go to court.
A ) The people don't want a public option..
B ) The court overturns part of the bill..
C ) The democrats then add in the P.O. retroactively to 'fix' the problem, without allowing anyone to stop it.
D ) Dems get what they wanted all along.
But two things went wrong on the way to the land of rainbow-vomiting unicorns. By creating an unreadable bill, they forgot to include the severance clause, and they believed they were an unstoppable force. Now they cant line-item the problems, and don't have the votes to redo it. Too bad.
