The Enabling Acts = Parallels our Patriot Act in it gave extra power to the Chancellor to deal with terrorist threats.

If the conservatives were given their dream of de-centralizing education, finance, social programs and took money away from government to control our medicine, retirement, etc...

...HOW MUCH GOVERNMENT WOULD REMAIN TO AFFECT A TOTALITARIAN REGIME?

And which party IS trying to centralize all power into the hands of their elected executive?

I've never encountered a liberal who has a remotely accurate idea of what the Nazis were like, to begin with. Anyone who thinks the GOP has the same goals as the Nazis do is beyond ignorant of history.

They tried legislating it away by resurrecting the "Fairness" Doctrine.

When that didn't work they tried boycotts.

Then it was lawsuits.

Then it was campus speech codes.
