Quote
White House press secretary Robert Gibbs expressed tepid approval on Thursday for Sen. Mark Udall’s idea that the parties sit together, not separate, during President Obama’s State of the Union address on Jan. 25.

“I haven't had an opportunity to talk to some folks around here on that. It's an interesting idea,” Gibbs told reporters on Thursday. “Maybe not having a physical aisle separate us would be a good thing as we talk about the state of our union, and that's everybody. That's not one side or the other. That's everyone.”
Yeah right..... it has nothing to do with even his side is unhappy with the 0?? :lmao:

Udall is pandering to the significant part of the population that is tired of the sniping, the backbiting, and cheap shots, and Obama.

Other than that, screw Gibbs. He ain't gone yet?

Maybe the Supreme Court Justices should be mixed in with the crowd so it won't be conspicuous that one is missing.  :fuelfire:

I think it's a reasonably good idea, myself, and worth trying at least the once.  Being as next year isn't an election year and there is plenty of time for both sides to forget it ever happened if either of them don't like the result, seems like an opportune time to try it.

I don't want my congressman sitting anywhere near those scumbags.

The democrats will use it as a photo op for political advantage.

If they're allowed to do it, that is.  But then can you think of any friggin' thing they don't try to turn for political advantage?  (Hint:  look at the political circus they've turned the murder of 6 and the attempted murder of 8 more, just last weekend.)

Personally, I think Rep. Boehner needs to take a page from the ObeyWon playbook (just this once), tell Nazi Pelosi "We Won", and point her sorry ass back to her chair.

Well, I don't worry about whether the lurkers get it.  Most everybody else is smart enough to put your shower reference together with mine and come to the right conclusion.

Goes without saying for the smart folks around here.  The smart folks register here and the dimwits just lurk so they don't have to actually participate.  Then whenever one of them does, he or she gets royally reamed.  In a more or less polite fashion, of course.

As for the  :kumbaya: :drink:NO WAY IN HELL do I want any frigging liberal cross contamination.  Besides, the Left is gonna spin this to make the Right look bad no matter what, so why bother trying to make nice?

And why isn't dormouse Gibbs gone yet anyway?

GOP Leader Endorses Mixed Seating for State of the Union

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/gop-leader-endorses-mixed-seating-for-state-of-the-union/#

Quote
A House GOP leader has come out in support of a Democratic Senator‘s proposal that Democrats and Republicans not sit on separate sides of the aisle during the president’s upcoming State of the Union address. It would be the first time the party’s mixed during the speech.

Democratic Sen. Mark Udall of Colorado on Wednesday suggested ending the tradition of separating lawmakers into Republican and Democratic camps. He said that seating arrangement offers a negative symbol of division.

On Friday, House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) endorsed the idea, joking that he might even sit next to Democratic Majority Whip Steny Hoyer (MD).

It's a mistake (for Republicans). Obama and his henchmen don't want tv viewers to see how many more Republicans there are now compared to Dems. Beohner's (private) answer should be "**** them."
