Ronald Reagan, the greatest American leader since Abraham Lincoln, did indeed destroy the Soviet Union. Any suggestion otherwise is revisionist socialist claptrap. From beginning his presidency by fulfilling his promise for a 600-ship Navy, to starting the Strategic Defense Initiative, to his encouragement and inspiration of the masses of people imprisoned behind the Iron Curtain, he created a social and economic environment that a socialist dictatorship could not survive. And he did all of that against fervent, almost hysterical, democrat oppostion at home. Ronald Reagan at work in the 1980s was a beautiful thing to watch.
