Thanks for the link, Duke. Looks like the battle has been heating and waging for awhile. It never hit my radar screen until I started using them. I wrote this to my newly elected state senator-R:
Dear Ms. Ritchie,
Congratulations, and I voted for you. I hope you listen to us as we New Yorkers fight to get out from under the thumb of state government and arrogant Assemblymen.
I am urging you to not support A9529, which prohibits the sale of electronic vaporing devices, commonly used as a substitute for cigarettes. As they contain the same amount of nicotine as Nicorderm patches (legal) and are not sold to minors, I find this government overreach and intrusion unaccepatable and intolerable.
Many people feel the Assemblymen are doing this to force people back to regular, deadly cigarettes, in order to extract the criminally high taxes. This is so outrageously immoral I can't believe it.
Why does the government have to insert itself into every aspect of our lives? Maybe if they stopped acting as nanny, we could balance the NY budget.
Thank you for listening.
