Dear california, you dumb ****ers are on your own

We saw how you voted last night.

Jerry Brown?

Again?

Really?

If you think you're going to continue to buy votes with welfare check and lavish contracts for public employees then default on your bond payments then be advised we hold the reins in the national congress.

You ain't getting shit.

Consider your next steps very carefully.

About a year ago I heard the word "secession" bandied about.  While a somewhat attractive idea, I immediately thought of two things:

1.  It would get about the same type of response as the last such effort.  That didn't really work out well for anyone.

2.  A better idea, since we outnumber and vastly out-territory them, would be expulsion.

MA and CA have been on my short list since about 14 seconds after I came up with the idea.
My CCW permit was issued in 1791.

Well I have thought about giving Kal-i-phony back to Spain but I could go with letting Mexico have the whole shebang. I mean why not?

I can also see letting it wither on the vine so to speak.  No state is to big to fail.  Can't pay your cops and firefighters big pension?  Sorry about that but NOT MY PROBLEM.  People moving on to greener pastures because the taxes are too high?  NOT MY PROBLEM.

Unfortunately the unions will still look to lord zero for a bailout.  That is less likely to happen, now, I think.

And where would ObieWun get the cash for this adventure in good living?   Congress controls the purse strings if I got it right in Civics class (although it is possible I missed something, there was that good looking red head girl to my right <sigh>)

Kind of like watching the house burn down 'cause they didn't pay the fire department sure it's tough but it's effective.  Or pass it with something ObieWun is sure to veto and make him the villan in the piece.

seems like there should  be some kind of people swap program where disheartened red state liberals can be swapped out for blue state conservatives so they don't have to suffer.  There are still plenty of liberals here in Cow Hampshire we could let go.

Kommiefornia- Proof that ya can't fix stupid!

Quote
The conventional viewpoint says we need a jobs program and we need to cut welfare. Just the opposite! We need more welfare and fewer jobs. Jobs for every American is doomed to failure because of modern automation and production. We ought to recognize it and create an income-maintenance system so every single American has the dignity and the wherewithal for shelter, basic food, and medical care. I’m talking about welfare for all. Without it, you’re going to have warfare for all. Without a universal health care like every other civilized country, without a minimum level of income, this country will explode. You can’t blame the guy at the bottom forever. At some point there’s a reaction and we’ll see that the real criminals are those calling the tune, making the rules, and walking to the bank. We have the money, we have the brain power. The United States now has the highest measured wealth of any nation ever in the history of the world. We could rebuild our cities, we could create the kind of buying power and community well-being that will provide for peace. The guaranteed income is one way. Another way is to have always the availability of work in a nonprofit, in community service. A third is to start giving people training to develop skills where they can be self-supporting. You could come up with a cash supplement. Even conservatives have suggested a negative income tax to cut out the bureaucracy. If we were smart, we’d get rid of welfare and give people a family assistance like they do in Europe…

The problem isn’t even a problem. Automation and technology would be a great boon if it were creative, if there were more leisure, more opportunity to engage in raising a family, providing guidance to the young, all the stuff we say we need. America will work if we’re all in it together. It’ll work when there’s a shared sense of destiny. It can be done! It’s all there! What isn’t there is the leadership to create the kind of social network, the safety net, the distribution that would truly create a just and equal society…

We have to restore power to the family, to the neighborhood, and the community with a non-market principle, a principle of equality, of charity, of let’s-take-care-of-one-another. That’s the creative challenge. First, expose relentlessly the big lie that comes over the tube every night-that if you just go out and find that job, and work harder, it’ll all be fine. It won’t! There’s not enough work to go around and a lot of the pay is not fair. Unless you totally yank up that system and create a better one, unless the spirit changes, unless the heart opens, unless we confront power with the truth of our own unarmed but absolute fearless truth, we’re not going to overcome it. Evil is too embedded to be overcome by anything other than a spiritual challenge.

This is your main problem DUmbShit!

Tell me, how many blacksmiths are there building & installing horseshoes these days? Petty much none.
Why?
The AUTOMOBILE replaced the need for their skill set. The smart blacksmiths eventually went to work for Henry Ford, worked LESS hours overall, did NOT have to manage business books and was better off for it, asshole!

I work with industrial automation and when teaching customers, I tell them the same thing - we do not pour soup mixture manually into cans a ladle at a time, we program, upgrade, and maintain computers and machines to do it for us. We upgrade our skill set, become more valuable to the corporation, make more money, and increase our job security.

Career success is NOT measured by the size of your gummint welfare check, DUmbASS...

And to think that at one time California was 1/7 of the U.S. economy....and the seventh largest economy in the world.

Remember the dust bowl...the great depression...all those Okie's with the truck piled high with all they owned...headed out to California with the sign on the side... California or bust...
Well, they'll be heading back to Oklahoma but this time the sign will read

 CALIFORNIA ....busted
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

Apart from the dumbass policies of Jerry Brown and the rest of his moonbat worshipers, I never could understand how Californians could voluntarily live in a part of the country that is guaranteed to shake, rattle, & roll -- just a question of when.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know about the hurricanes and the tornadoes - weather ain't a real issue when it comes to the very friggin' ground you're standing on sliding along a busted fault line.

I agree, MSB.  Really if Whitman had won, I don't think she could have overcome the institutionalized dysfunctionality of the CA legislature.  By voting in Moonbeam, they are picking the Express Flush, but due to the House changing hands the chances of Congress bailing them out when that happens just went down by two orders of magnitude.

Let it wither, go down on it's own, then work it's way back out of it , alone. Maybe they'll learn a little about economics and sovereignty in the process. Besides, probably be some pretty cheap properties for the rest of us.
