Seein' as how a life member now is more than likely from the Korean conflict, and many PAC members are former journalists, I'm not really surprised. Too many of them watch MASH on a continual basis, which IMO, is about as anti war as you can get. At least after Alda started writin' the scripts!

I guess liberals are everywhere, everywhen. Or maybe there are baser motives than ideology at work, like my favorite, money. Or a combination of the two. I saw WWII to Vietnam. Army, Navy, and Air Force--although the Marines, as far as I could see, had their separate say through a marine's widow. But to my civilian eye it looked like some of these people served in some dangerous situations for some long periods of time, and the majority served. One at least must have received a purple heart (Goff), and one (the Treasurer) served 3 air force tours in vietnam.

Pop quiz hotshots, How many of you working the fry maching or working in your cubicle processing checks for welfare leeches have to know what the average Soldier does about his job? I'm betting that your not able to perform an average of 25- 36 task and do so on demand,maintain all equipment issued to you plus what is in the units TOE and additional duties as assigned to you by your leaders.

I highly doubt that the average civilian has to tear apart his workstation or his computer, Fix or repear their own car or have to know how to use units of measurement that would make most of you cry in your lattes. Then I have some doubts that you clowns could put up with the early morning exercises for at least two hours a day. Yeah some of you clowns can run a few miles but do the same with a 35 pound ruck. Just to earn my Air Assault badge, my final day was a 12 mile hike to be done in less then two hours and twenty minutes. None of you DUmmies would have the balls to attempt that let alone serve. Before that first day out of the "The Hardest Days in the Army", I had to learn to build and set up and LZ/PZ. Learn formations The Army uses for multiple Helicopter flights so the LZ/PZ could be set up right. Learn to do Medivac request and Sling load various pieces of equipment the Army uses from cargo bags to Artillery pieces. Then I had to learn to rappel from thetop of a 90 ft tower and from a UH-60 Blackhawk.


You miserable little assclowns couldn't cut it being the post laundry handlers and you have the gall to bitch about what some VFW post is going to do with their money. Most of those guy have been through more shit then any human should be put through .They have the right to spend their money how they wish. I'm never gonna complain about my 5 and a half year stint in the Army after you listed all of these accomplisments.  My heart goes  hearing all that.  I think I need to go jump my own dude, who also can and did perform lots of these deeds.

Like  I said I'm nothing specail . I'm one of many that have done the same thing. I have to wonder though that as hard as my job was ,how hard it is for people like the other guys on here lke DAT and Sparky and my two older brothers .One that joined the Army in 1968 to fly Helicopters and didn't stop till he had 40 years in and retired as the last Vietnam ear pilot in the Nebraska National Guard. On his retirment they listed that he was qualified to fly more then 8 different models of the Huey and one fixed wing aircraft called the 0-1. And my other brother flew S-3 Vikings for the Navy for a number of years ,became a Sqd Commander of a reserve S-3 then before his retirement he got posted to the Pentagon and his office was due to move back into the wing that had been hit on 9/11 and he had planned to retire from the Navy about then too. He now flys for a major Airline and is currently working on his 4th or 5th time of learning to fly a new civilian Airliner .
