Frank, I know you think it's cleaner and easier, but you just can't beat the smell of fresh baked bread in the house. It's kind of fun if you have a Sunday afternoon to kill or something.
I know, I know, madam; I just recently did the same with home-made stew, while it's just cheaper, cleaner, quicker, to buy a can of it at the grocery store.
It's fun if one has the time, which sometimes one does.
And yes, one can't beat the aromatic odor.
But the
real objection here, as it always is with the cooking and baking primitives, is that the primitives try to make all this home-made tinkering out as a virtue, when really it's just idle recreation.
If decent and civilized people do it, there's no objection, because decent and civilized people don't try to make it seem more than what it is. And so if you do it yourself, madam, no objection from franksolich.
