What does a blizzard have to really do with this. Well at least you had a road to go cut up trees on, after floyd we had new streams and creeks, same with Isabelle, we even got a 2000 yard 20 foot deep Inlet at Hatteras Village, three new inlets on Core Banks.
Regardless we all have bad weather, my point was its been along time since the NE experienced a hurricane not whether your weather is worse or not. Yet go ahead and tell me how so many hurricanes aren't that bad
I never said hurricanes weren't bad. My point is that we've had hurricane-FORCE winds up here within the past 6 months.
And yeah, we've had some pretty nasty flooding. 2 years in a row of 100 year floods, one winter of all-time record snow, one week of near record-low temps (and in some locales, broke the all-time records), ice storms, tornadoes, earthquakes, damaging golf ball sized hail, and drought.
That's all in the last FOUR years. I'm not saying yours is better or worse, but please don't pretend that just because a Cat 4 hasn't made landfall in Portsmouth in the last 100 years that we don't get our fair share, believe me. I've learned that the hard way since leaving Californuckistan.
