This pathetically amateurish bullshit artist isn't only a craven liar, he's a world-class *****, to boot. The only thing worse than a ***** is a dishonest one.

Sheesh, if I thought I could stomach the bullshit loong enough to get to a 1000+ posts, I'd set up housekeeping there. MY bouncies would be ****ing EPIC!!!!  :rotf:

Hollywood,
No reason at all you have to make it to 1000 posts to post a bouncy.  Hell, you could do it on your mole's first post!  It certainly wouldn't get you kicked off.  I say go for it, the bouncies from a mole would be hilarious!  The DUmmies will eat it up!

Oh goody, now she'll be set on fire or stoned to death or set on fire for talking to a man not of her family. Hope he didn't sneak a look at her ankles or else she'd probably be beat up before the stoning and fire. Maybe the stock boy was a Muslim too knew better than to approach her, but planned on snagging the first stock girl he saw to help her.

Quote from:
11 Bravo

I encountered a Muslim woman in my local supermarket this morning.

... people were just avoiding her,.... I had no idea what to do, so I summoned up the sole bit of Arabic I know, approached her, and said, "As-Salaam-Alaikum" (Peace be unto you). All I could see were her eyes, but at that moment those eyes conveyed more genuine emotion than Glenn Beck at his weepy worst.

My guess is "As-Salaam-Alaikum" is typically what the secret police in her native country say to people just before they drag them off to prison.  So no doubt her eyes conveyed genuine emotion; it was the look of fear, and this dimwit bravo primitive did it to her.

I thought these two comment contrasted nicely together since they both come from the same reality-based community:

I call 110 percent bullshit.  IIRC, we aren't rounding up Muslims and sending them to camps, brezinski...like the Germans were doing with not just Jews, but gays, gypsies, and the mentally deficient, pre WWII.  I'd say MY relatives in Poland knew a bit more than what yours are telling you.

:bs:

Does anyone actively seek out people when you go to the supermarket?  Personally, I'm trying to get my damn shopping done and get the heck out of the place.

No one that I know of that respects Islam and it's people and culture would actively seek out a Muslim woman in a burka for conversation.  For one the woman isn't allowed to respond and there would be at least one male member of the family with her according to law.

And if she were wearing a true Burka...there is no way in hell this lying jackass coule see her eyes.

the burqa represents an unknown... we need to encourage people to communicate and learn

I shave my head and while it has become more acceptable for women to do so, I still have varied reactions from people that do not understand why a woman would have no hair (save cancer treatments)

I was a nun at one time and wore a habit, I don't remember anyone complaining at that time.

So, I can go after Sarah because she wears mini skirts and dresses? or dresses sexually?

I don't believe that she will make the big 1K mark.

51. Was she with a male member of her family?

Otherwise she could be beaten and disfigured for talking to you - I hope you didn't cause this poor woman to be punished. You should make yourself more aware of the religious customs of others before you approach them. You may have caused this poor woman a great deal of hardship just by talking to her - for real.

Again no replies.

For those who might be interested, there's a collection being taken up to offset the costs of cleaning the rug in Al-Iman masjid in New York that the drunk idiot pissed on while yelling racist slurs. It's being collected by the Velveteen Rabbi as a goodwill gesture. I think it's a very, very cool thing.

71. My son had classes with Arab Muslim twins, a boy and a girl. At their graduation last June, the

whole family showed up in force. One of the young women, there with her husband, had on a beautiful outfit, a black under suit consisting of a black top (covering everything from her neck to the middle of her hand) black slacks, with a red and black over gown, and the usual hijab went well with the rest. It was very attractive. I pointed it out to my hsuband.

After the graduation ceremonies, we decided to go out to lunch at a favored restaurant to find that the Muslim family had been there before us and were coming out as we went in.

My husband went up to her husband and told him how beautiful his wife's outfit was.

They all just beamed with pleasure.

A kind word may turneth away wrath, but a few friendly words can build bridges across the widest rivers.

I'm glad you had the opportunity to begin building a bridge. Keep up the good work.

(It always amazes me that so many "Christians" who believe that they are persecuted for their religion are the first to pile persecution on those of other faiths and belief systems...)

The women dress that way to avoid any arousal of the libido in unknown males. I bet the woman got beaten with a belt when they got home.

48. Help me out here...as a senior gay man, why should I respect a religion that wants to kill me
for being myself and that relegates women to ...4th class citizens? It's not as if christians are a lot better but I see a lot of support for Islamists here and given their positions on both women and gays, I can't imagine why any decent person would accord them the tiniest bit of respect. They want to kill me, I say **** them.

The DUmp you brain on drugs...very powerful drugs....for a very long time.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

73. I have this odd theory

The muslims that came here from places like Iran, Pakistan, and Egypt did so because (and this will sound nuts, I know) they didn't like the lack of freedom and opportunity in their home countries. So, they came to America for a new life and a shot at upward mobility.

I'll declare! You sure got you some funny notions there!

No but you have no problem at all spewing hyperbole about Christians wanting to enslave women and kill gays.

And OmahaBlue Dog, what's this crap about "coming to America for a new life and a shot at upward mobility?" Don't you know there is no longer any upward mobility here, only slavery to corporate masters and suppression by the Police State? I'm surprised a fellow DUer hasn't called you on that one.

They've always given Muslims a pass because so many of them share a common enemy with DU (the U.S.), but this newly found love affair for anything Islam is odd.

Ralph, that was an excellent catch.  Thanks for that.  Lurking DUmmies, are you seriously comfortable with censorship like that?  Have you no regard for the gay gentleman?

Of course the story is BS, if it was a burqa, there would have been a male relative stuck fast to her.  This DUmmy is very stupid, and so is anyone else who believed it.  He just wanted to use the couple of Arabic words he somehow learned, to impress the DUmpmonkiez with his worldly and sophisticated ways.

Someone else tried to be hip and use exotic language, and referred to a "hajib,"  mangling the word "hijab" and thus not looking cosmopolitan at all, just goofy.

One more element of a bouncy...the surrounding crowd should express approval at the conversion, with clapping, cheering, or simply smiling and nodding and murmuring.

a. Yup, she would not have spoken back to you.
b. No way would she been out by herself.
c.  :bs:

Ok.  Here is my bouncy.  But it's real, and I have a pic on my phone to prove it!

So, last Saturday I had to come in to work.  I work in suburbia, in a 6-story office bldg, right on the corner of I-35.  About 9 am a supervisor came in to our dept to tell us of some strange goings on outside.  (We are a 24x7 operation)  Outside, on the street there is a bus stop, that has limited weekend availability.  And waiting at the bus stop is a lady in a full black buraa.  I thought it was some goth kid headed home from a long night of partying to be quite honest, and I went to get my phone to take a pic.  This was about 8:00 am.  I ran back and took a pic, and then she turned around, and I noticed it was a burqa, not a vampire outfit.  Wierd.    Apparently she had been walking up and down our block, since people were reporting it to their supervisors as they came in for their shifts.

Our security guard asked her what was up, and she said she got off the bus to go to the bathroom at the corner gas station, and now she is waiting for another bus.  My boss called the cops.  Yeah, racial profiling and all that.....we report it, the cops do a drive by, and she is gone, like the bus came or something.  A few hours later, she is back.  WTF?  We are essentially in an industrial park.  No stores, no nothing.  Walking up and down the street, She goes to the other corner gas station, and hangs out on the corner for about 30 minutes or so.  No bus stop there.  My boss calls the cops AGAIN.  And since I am the only one in this crew that knows my directions, ie:  She is standing on the southbound service road, looking south, rather than she is looking at the highway  :thatsright:, I get to tell Mr. Police Man a blow by blow.

Well, now she has a backpack, or something big up under that burqa, on her back, and she is carrying a briefcase.  Weird?  Yeah, and she walked up to the gas station, to the tanks, pump number seven, and is fiddling with the gas hose.  The mgr of that station was standing in his parking lot, like just staring or trying to shoo her away and then up comes a car,  just a 4 door sedan and she gets in.  And they sit there forever, and then take off, the whole time I am telling the cops this whole story.  The end.

I would like to add something like "and when the cops came to patrol our perimeter, they jumped out of the bushes and confronted my boss with her stereotyping"  But, what really happened is that my boss told the officer she was wearing a black robe, trying to NOT stereotype, and the officer asked if she was wearing "native gear."

I don't know what exactly happened that day, but to see a burqa wearing woman walking by herself in an industrial park, just seemed very odd and unsettling.

But it did put a little excitement in my Saturday.

ETA:  I really do have a pic on my phone!  But it is through a window, so she kinda looks like a vampire hobbit.

Oh my God, that's chilling.  Keep that picture.  A backpack up under it, and a briefcase, and loitering near gas pumps?  Oh my God.  That's called being vigilant, not profiling (of course the DUmps would disagree).  If you see it, say something.  I'm glad nothing disastrous happened.
