A few things people seem to forget: Breitbart showed enough of the speech in the video portion for the viewer to hear Sherrod talk about this being a kind of epiphany. What got lost in this whole thing was the AUDIENCE'S reaction when she talked about harming white people. It was in response to the meme you guys keep repeating about Tea Party spitting on and hurling racial epithets at black congress members when ALL evidence, INCLUDING those recordings being made by members of the caucus as they walked by show nothing of the kind. To disagree with the substance of what people in the Tea Party stand for is one thing. To label them racist is insulting to your fellow citizens and blunts the outrage of REAL racism. It's getting so commonplace for you on the left to label people who disagree "racist" that people are starting to pay less and less attention to it. For a group of people who constantly tell themselves how much they care about minorities I'd think you'd be a little more careful about casually throwing the accusation around because when a real racist act happens it will have less meaning and impact on the public.
Fox News didn't "go after" anyone. They reported Reverend Wright's own words. If someone sits in a church for 20 years and respects them enough to have them BAPTIZE their children I damn well want to know. Wouldn't you want to know if a potential candidate on our side sat for 20 years in a church that preached abortion doctors should be put to death? Usually we're provided basic information about candidates: school transcripts, a thesis or two, GPA, SAT scores, etc. All we know about Obama is HIS OWN written words (would you accept it if all we knew about Bush or Reagan or Palin?) and those he associates with. When one cannot assess someone applying for the job of the most powerful person in the world using information we know about EVERY OTHER CANDIDATE SINCE I CAN REMEMBER one goes to the next bet alternative: who the guy considers important in his life. Perhaps if Obama had been more forthcoming it wouldn't have been necessary.
I didn't realize ACORN was a "black" organization. After all, the couple applying for (and being given) help were...wait for it: WHITE!
Don't have a clue who Vance is but I'm thinking you must mean Van Jones. He is a SELF-AVOWED communist. Color was irrelevant...see Anita Dunn, Cass Sunstein, Bill Ayres, or any other unvetted Czar. Good freaking Christ, the man who helped write the stimulus bill that HAS TO BE PAID by every tax payer from now until untold generations in the future was not only and unaccountable (unknown and unreported) but a founder of the Weather Underground...a terrorist organization by any definition. That 0bama's managed to keep this hidden is because he has a sycophant media who are loathe to report anything negative about the boy king. And most of this was revealed by Glenn Beck (not the "news" side of FOX) who absolutely does his homework and has this uncanny ability to see connections where no one else does.
As I said before, when someone is not forthcoming with evidence of qualifications (i.e. transcripts, diplomas, accomplishments at Harvard Law Review), qualifications required of even someone applying for a teaching job or a middle manager at a corporation, then one's only option is to look closely at ones associates. Because as our mother's said, you are judged by the company you keep.
