A Challenge to All Tea-Baggers...

Since you are so concerned about the debt and big government and since you have shown your willingness to stand up for America, here is a challenge to put your money where your mouth is:

Why not surrender your Social Security check as proof that you are willing to do your part to cut the deficit? Or your Social Security Disability (SSDI) check? Or your military disability, if it is less than 50% disability? There are so many ways you can help us fix this deficit, rather than just dressing up in funny costumes with misspelled signs, mostly vilifying Barack Obama or Nancy Pelosi.

C'mon! Show us that you are serious. Get off the government teat. Show your independence. Prove to everyone that when you talk about "big government spending", you are doing your part to make this a better nation. Maybe you can start a trend and everyone will follow you?

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x8038195

Yeah the deficit is all because the teabaggers are drawing SS.  :mental:
Primitives have no understanding of economic concepts. They are the ones buying that health care for all will save money after all. We are forced by the govt to pay into SS all of our lives. Those who worked and retired are entitled to that money that was taken from them. In fact most people will end up losing money that they paid into the system over the years.

The people sucking on the govt teat are you goons. You want Obama to buy you health insurance, high speed internet, and God knows what else you think you will be entitled to in the coming years.

You blood suckers see someone that works hard makes decent money and instead of thinking maybe you could try it you want Obama to use a stroke of the pen to take from that person. You are leeches on society and you applaud when freedoms are taken away from all of us. If liberals truly cared about the causes they champion then they would put their own money towards helping those people. Libs could use capitalism for social justice. But, they don't want to give up what they have they want to take from the rest of us by force.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

I'll make you a counter offer. I'll forego the services of the Dept. Of Education. You can disband it.  My state can handle its own education quite well and for the same money I'm paying in that goes through 300 levels of federal bureaucracy before being partially returned to the states, I think there'll be more bang for the buck.

I'll also forego the services of the National Endowment For The Arts. If I have a hankerin' to see crucifixes submerged in urine I can just click on DU and get the text version, if not some actual art along those lines. So that's another gubmint expenditure you can cancel.

Hey, we're making some real progress here.

I promise I won't fly into Bart Stupak's Airport To Nowhere. You know, the one he sold the lives of unborn children for? So he doesn't have to collect his blood money for that. More savings.

I'm willing to be completely in the dark about how large a ball of shit the North Connecticut dung beetle can roll or whether jellyfish enjoy 18th century chamber music or not, so those and about four million other "scientific" grants can be curtailed. I'll try to muddle through somehow.

We can do away with the Dept. Of Energy because, in all the years of their existence, they haven't produced any. That's a nice chunk of change.

Let me keep some of my tax money and I'll even donate more to charity. The $20 I give to the local food bank will feed more people than the peanut butter sandwich that same $20 will buy after a few dozen government "helpers" have taken their skim.

That's just to get started, but there's lots of other challenges I'm ready to meet if you'd like to take it further.

Anyone who thinks "Happily Ever After" will come if anyone but themselves is writing the script is delusional.

While you're at it, you can get rid of Medicare, welfare, the National Institutes of Health, and all those bills that pay farmers NOT to grow or raise a ****ing thing.

And yeah--let me out of SSI as well, and give me the money I've paid in since the age of 14--that's right, DUmmies...14.

Deal, if I NEVER have another penny of SS taxes taken out of my paycheck.  Hell, I'll see your SS check and raise you Medicare as well....
I can't speak for tea-baggers' signs and costumes, but you "poofsters" sure do put on a show....

C'mon, lead by example.  YOU get off the government teat, show YOUR independence.  Prove to everyone you can actually survive without having some government agency handout....

I don't have to prove anything to you.  I've been earning a living for myself and my family for 45 years, I know how to survive without the government.  Do/can you?

Funny you mention "plow and fix the road", since that's what I spent half a day yesterday doing.  This winter was a B*TCH, and my creek crossing had gotten so bad, my Jeep was having trouble getting thru it....

So SUCK IT, DUmmies!  I can fix my own road.  And I did it with a borrowed tractor and $1.00 worth of diesel fuel....

I like to see the government do THAT!

I'd say that from the 12 years of my life I gave to this country, on top of the taxes I've paid for over 30 years, balanced against the services I've used over that same period, pretty much demonstrates that I've given far more than I'll ever hope to get back, shitstain.

Ditto.  Everything you and I both have put into SS up to this point isn't going to be there for us as it is when we retire.

Saw on the news the otehr day...Guess kenf*ck missed this one...that the payouts of SS are more now than the revenue.  Payments to SS recipients is now going to have to come from the general revenue fund.

I feel sick every year when I look at my future SS benefits statement, see what I paid into the system and realize how little I'll get out of it.

32 years paying in with almost 15 years self employed (15% paid in over those years).  If I had that money in a 401K with my other savings I would have easily been able to retire today and still leave a nice chunk of change behind.

It's easy for the DUmmies to issue that type of challenge when they've worked most of their "career" at minimum wage.
