Bobbieo (1000+ posts) Wed Feb-17-10 08:15 PMOriginal message ACLU Has Done It Again And it has made me a liar! Anyone else have a problem with them? I told the guy who called for a donation for ACLU that I would send a check for $20 if he would tell those stupid people at ACLU to remove that stupid petition form they send out with black type on a dark gray background. I can’t read the damn thing – neither can my son or DIL.I got their donation letter the other day and was waiting until they sent out the next petition before I mailed in the check. I got it today from A. Romero concerning my former Arizona Gov. Janet Napoltano and racial profiling and the petition is done, again, in black type on a dark gray background. I am going to write Romero and tell him he can take his petitions and shove them until they change formatting and send out something readable in black type on a white background like everyone else does. Until then, no donation from me!I find it absolutely juvenile and irresponsible that Romero would allow those petitions to be e-mailed on the important issues that ACLU represents.
Forkboy (1000+ posts) Wed Feb-17-10 08:20 PMTHE FORKED PRIMITIVEResponse to Original message 1. They've done too much good in my eyes. As a long time lyric reader from bands who think totally dark on damn near dark is cool I can sympathize though.

Yeah, it sucks, and I hope they take your complaint to heart (it IS a sucky color combo), but the amount of people being turned off is probably pretty small. And either way it's not so bad that's worth not supporting them over it in light of all the good they've done. I mean, really.Like I said, I sympathize, but not THAT much.

The Dummies should cast healing white light at the petitions - maybe they can collectively bleach the background colors making the text more readable..
