really don't think Andy said the last one on TV. Maybe in a book, but not on live TV...........I think the rest are pretty much true.

In case you missed it on 60 Minutes,
This is what Andy Rooney thinks about women over 50

As I grow in age, I value women over 50 most of all. Here are just a few reasons why:

A woman over 50 will never wake you in the middle of the night and ask, 'What are you thinking?' She doesn't care what you think.

If a woman over 50 doesn't want to watch the game, she doesn't sit around whining about it. She does something she wants to do, and it's usually more interesting

Women over 50 are dignified. They seldom have a screaming match with you at the opera or in the middle of an expensive restaurant. Of course, if you deserve it, they won't hesitate to shoot you if they think they can get away with it.

Older women are generous with praise, often undeserved. They know what it's like to be unappreciated.

Women get psychic as they age. You never have to confess your sins to a woman over 50.

Once you get past a wrinkle or two, a woman over 50 is far sexier than her younger counterpart.

Older women are forthright and honest. They'll tell you right off if you are a jerk, if you are acting like one. You don't ever have to wonder where you stand with her.

Yes, we praise women over 50 for a multitude of reasons. Unfortunately, it's not reciprocal. For every stunning, smart, well-coiffed, hot woman over 50, there is a bald, paunchy relic in yellow pants making a fool of himself with some 22-year old waitress. Ladies, I apologize.

For all those men who say, 'Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free? Here's an update for you. Nowadays 80% of women are against marriage. Why? Because women realize it's not worth buying an entire pig just to get a little sausage!

and it gives me a couple days to rest before going back to work.

Had a scare last night. 3 times I had bloody "deposits" and had to call the nurse to document it. The GI doc came in this morning and did an exam...yuk. If I had continued that, they would not have let me go home. Today, however, all is better.

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.
please continue them as I do NOT want to go back again.


If Pam is going to defend her title, she needs to start firing for effect pretty soon.

Remicade (which is a Chemo therapy type treatment for Crohn's) only takes about two hours to administer, so why would she be hospitalized overnight?  Also, how many times has she had it now?  I looked it up, and it looks like you are supposed to have the 2nd treatment two weeks after the first, the 3rd six weeks after that, then every 8 weeks.  It seems like she been having a Chemo treatment every week since her diagnosis, which from everything I've seen (admittedly online only) does not seem to be standard.

You are making the assumption that she is telling  the truth........instead of pandering for sympathy.....

I still think she has "Down's Syndrome".....unfortunately that won't respond to chemotherapy.

And I can tell you for a FACT she wouldn't be eating SHIT if she was in fact undergoing treatment once a week.

I think that she has said she suffers from Pancreatitis.  If that is the case and she develops acute attacks, she needs to be hospitalized.  Some patients with acute attacks have to be hospitalized for pain, and TPN therapy.  I am surprised that she is not at home on TPN.  Need to do bowel rest for sometimes months. 

I do think that she stands on the roof tops and yells too much, but I do feel for her.  It is not a problem that I would wish on anyone.
