Ellie Light sure gets around.

In recent weeks, Light has published virtually identical “Letters to the Editor” in support of President Barack Obama in more than a dozen newspapers.Every letter claimed a different residence for Light that happened to be in the newspaper’s circulation area.

“It’s time for Americans to realize that governing is hard work, and that a president can’t just wave a magic wand and fix everything,” said a letter from alleged Philadelphian Ellie Light, that was published in the Jan. 19 edition of The Philadelphia Daily News.

A letter from Light in the Jan. 20 edition of the San Francisco Examiner concluded with an identical sentence, but with an address for Light all the way across the country in Daly City, California.

Variations of Light’s letter ran in Ohio’s Mansfield News Journal on Jan. 13, with Light claiming an address in Mansfield; in New Mexico’s Ruidoso News on Jan. 12, claiming an address in Three Rivers; in South Carolina’s The Sun News on Jan. 18, claiming an address in Myrtle Beach; and in the Daily News Leader of Staunton, Virginia on Jan. 15, claiming an address in Waynesboro. Her publications list includes other papers in Ohio, West Virginia, Maine, Michigan, Iowa, Pennsylvania and California, all claiming separate addresses.

Weak, weak, weak. Further proof the pillow biters don't have enough collective brainpower to light an L.E.D.

Years ago I used to torment the Marin county editors with a series of letters ostensibly from one "Justice Peacemoon". All the letters took standard lefty positions, but argued for them so inanely, that there was no way their positions could be accepted, much less defended, by any normal American. I propose everyone here write a hysterical and poorly reasoned letter to their local paper and sign it with his name.

Just cut and paste the most offensive, misspelled, insane pile of cannabis infused dung from the DU and send it on in. The letter writing campaign should expose the lefties for the moronic half assed fascists that they are.

It's how psychological warfare works.

Oh man, here's an oldie from the groove yard, long before I ever laid eyes on the DU. The hippies were all bent out of shape because the feds were busting illegals growing dope in some national parks.

Editor,
Stop Bushes illegal war against plant life! The very idea of the Federal Government enforcing the law on federally protected land by terrorizing innocent pot plants is simply nauseating.  The so called “problem” of Central American gangs operating within our borders could be remedied quite easily. Why don’t we let our day workers grow the Marijuana? They do such a good job on the lawn and garden, windows, laundry, shopping and cooking, plus they seem really good around the kids. It’s been 140 years since a labor pool of this size has been readily available. The real issue however, is whether or not we are going to allow George Bush to kill another of Sacred Mother Earths holy plants with his pesticide stained hands. This war on Pot is obviously just another neo-con plot to keep the price of Marijuana artificially…high. Besides, all Americans smoke weed. The only way George Bush could have been elected twice was if everyone was totally baked. Sacred Mother Earth Weeps.
GANJA NOT GUNS!!! FREE WEED!!!
Sincerely

Justice Peacemoon

Given the source material from the DU now readily available to us, letters like this could easily be improved upon.

I wonder if the Plain Dealer tracked back the source of the e-mails. Perhaps from DC ... perhaps somewhere on Pennsylvania Avenue?

Yeah, the papers that I've always read claim that they will contact you via phone before they publish any letters.

I'm sure they do. Just answer the phone in your best stoner voice and it shouldn't be a problem.

I had to give the Portsmouth Herald name, addy, and phone number, but they never contacted me before they published my LTE last month.

When I submit Letters to the Galt's Gulch Tribune, I have to supply the above mentioned Name, Addy, Phone, etc... I usually do get a phone from the Trib; they want corroborating resources on the facts I include (you'd think by now they'd get tired of being wrong).

Perhaps all of Obama's  LTTE are what's making him so tired. He should use a different pen name to the various papers.........

Or maybe not so secret (and not at all clever, if true).  The meaning of the name "Ellie" is "light."

When the San Jose Mercury News published several of my letters some years ago they always made phone contact. Not foolproof, but it would complicate matters some for a non-local pseudonymous phony.

Facebookers Status Change: "Who Is Ellie Light?"
1-24-10
Posted on Sunday, January 24, 2010 15:01:59 by My Favorite Headache

A beautiful thing started happening on Facebook yesterday. People began changing their current status on the social network to "Who Is Ellie Light?", leaving many people wondering and obviously drawing curiosity amongst members and driving up trends on Yahoo and Google search.

This is just a vanity and a suggestion that if you have a social network page i.e. Myspace or Facebook why not change your status for the day to Ellie Light and let the people on your friends list who might not be aware of the story go look it up?

There is already a group running with 300 + members under the same name on Facebook and has journalists from around the country checking in and joining.

Just a heads up!

Who is Mark Spivey? Another Obama Astroturfer
Filed under: General — Patterico @ 11:21 am
I joined a Facebook group called “Who is Ellie Light?” This morning I was invited to join a new group: “Who is Mark Spivey?”

Who is Mark Spivey? I know only this: that he is the author of this pro-Obama letter that has appeared in numerous publications:

A recent Associated Press article stated that President Barack Obama’s hesitancy on the Afghan war buildup implies weakness.

I wish world leaders had more of that kind of weakness. Clearly, Obama does not want to send soldiers into harm’s way without a clear goal, a solid plan and an exit strategy, three aspects sorely missing from former President George W. Bush’s military ventures.

I know that we Americans are used to presidents who play cowboy, who say things like “bring ’em on” and “mission accomplished” without a second thought; presidents who send Americans into battle on falsified weapons reports.

But it seems our current president understands that you don’t send soldiers into battle without first nailing down what they’re supposed to be doing, and why.

So hats off to Obama’s “hesitation.” Soldiers are human beings, not chess pieces. It’s about time we get a president who understands that.

— Mark Spivey

The letter has appeared — at a minimum! — at The Minnesota Daily, at the Baltimore Chronicle (on the same page as Ellie Light’s letter!), at the San Diego Union-Tribune (where he claims to be from San Diego), at the Naples News (where he claims to be from Naples, Florida), and at Buzzflash.com. ...
Ellie's not alone

“It’s time for Americans to realize that governing is hard work, and that a president can’t just wave a magic wand and fix everything,”

Had to dig it outta the trash but there it was...exact words, word for word....in my small town tri-weekly paper.....a LTTE by our very own Obama worshipping, black, female, moonbat.

Maybe they sent an example out and some people were just to lazy or to stupid to change the wording and name on the example.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948
