Obama's Town Hall In Ohio

It just wrapped up so I'm testing the better late than never theory but it was...awful. The speech was disjointed, flat in a lot of spots and just, well, a mess. If this Obama ran in 08 McCain (or Hillary) would have beaten him. Easily.

At one point Obama said, "here in Michigan" alas it was in Ohio. No problem though, it's not like those two states are rivals or anything.

Then it got really bad. ...

It's time for Americans to realize that governing is hard work, and that a president can't just wave a magic wand and fix everything.

then maybe he shouldn't make such a promise.

Here in Michigan?  Are you serious??  Every time he opens his mouth, it's cringe-worthy.  Why does he think his stupid speeches are going to put those people back to work?

Hi Chris,

I posted this in another thread.  If you just listened to him he sounded a lot like Jeramiah Wright....it was pathetic.

Was he using that tent revivalist cadence he pulls out whenever he's in dire straits?

Hi Mr. Bunny,

To answer your question, AMEN.  He was spewing hate as he does so well.  Everyone in business is an evil bastard who is wrongfully stealing from the poor.  Even Robin Hood would be laughing his ass off at BO.

MSNBC had a piece about his speech in Ohio. At the end of the article, his tirade was given a 1.5 out of 5 stars. Not good plus all of the responses were negative. This fool does not realize that even the liberals are not buying his BS.

They might want to reschedule it from primetime to about 2 or 3 in the morning, so people won't watch.  Aw hell, who am I kidding, I won't watch it anyway.

Nor will I.

You know....I was thinking yesterday when I saw the clip from the townhall meeting ...if anyone has noticed how his voice can change depending on his audience?

He gets in front of a predominately black or working class group.....and he switches to a different voice - or speech pattern.... educated black man using a black street gang cadence.

I know that sounds terribly racist but all I can think of is comparing him to Eddie Murphy or Samuel L Jackson playing a role in a movie, where they play different characters in the same movie.

Are these people at these events...so mesmerized  by being in his presence that they don't realize he talks down to them?

It's like he thinks he's so smart.....and the audience is so dumb....that he needs to change his speech pattern to "street talk"....for them to understand him.

IIRC, Hillary was accused by the 0Bama crowd of affecting a southern accent when she went down south.
