Was he using that tent revivalist cadence he pulls out whenever he's in dire straits?
You know....I was thinking yesterday when I saw the clip from the townhall meeting ...if anyone has noticed how his voice can change depending on his audience?
He gets in front of a predominately black or working class group.....and he switches to a different voice - or speech pattern.... educated black man using a black street gang cadence.
I know that sounds terribly racist but all I can think of is comparing him to Eddie Murphy or Samuel L Jackson playing a role in a movie, where they play different characters in the same movie.
Are these people at these events...so mesmerized by being in his presence that they don't realize he talks down to them?
It's like he thinks he's so smart.....and the audience is so dumb....that he needs to change his speech pattern to "street talk"....for them to understand him.
