The explanations for each numbered item are pretty entertaining, but the best reading comes under the "About" tab, where hordes of irony-impaired offended white people take the author to task for racism. Some of the comments left are actually quite vicious FR type crap.

I don't think it's racism. I think it's demonstrating how offensive stereotypes are and is meant to be thought-provoking, and the fact that it's funny is just a bonus. But after sifting through quite a few of the comments, I wonder how widespread the 'that's racist!' attitude is.

I have to admit, some of it is funny as hell, but a lot of it comes across like the contributors just want to be nasty towards whites.   :whatever:

Im in the same boat - most of this list appeals to the primitives.

Ya know what I would like? I would like DUmbasses to stop calling me "white people". That in itself is one of the most racist nouns in existence of the English language! When will skin color become neutral with these asshats?

I have been a construction super in my previous life, (in the days before the 6, 2 1/2" screws they embedded in my back), for almost 30 years and I had every denomination of nationality of humans on earth work for me! All I ever worried  about was whether or not you got your damn job done on time! Not once did I consider their job performance a reflection on their race. I liked my paycheck! If they didn't perform, I ate shit come pay day! Where the hell do these pukes come up with this shirt? Oh I know, they don't have to, or ever had to perform!

All the racist BS these assholes come up with is nothing more than a smokescreen in order to push their agenda and control the sane populace.

Actually the book is pretty funny if you read it with a grain of salt. The primitives don't like it because it hits a little too close to home for them.

I drove one, once, for my job.  Got 49.3 mpg for about a 300-mile trip.  I was impressed.  I wouldn't own one, mind you, but if the rental company gave me another one to use, I'd take it.

Sorry......having worked in the auto industry for a number of years......and being from the Harley Earl school of automotive design, I couldn't face looking at one in my garage every morning  without losing my breakfast all over the floor.........

There is automotive architecture and aesthetics........and there are the orientals, and they, unfortunately, have a "tin ear" when it comes to vehicle styling.....bleah.....

Which, granted, can occasionally be funny. There are several items on this list that I have absolutely heard pretentious white liberal arts grad students wax philosopical about as if they're the first person who's had a deep and profound revelation about Amnesty International or the social and poetic value of 80s hip hop.

I'm just surprised to find support for this website on DU, not because it's "racist," but because it so obviously plays into the right-wing stereotype of white liberals as fuzzy-headed elitists who enjoy "token" minority experiences (like Spike Lee movies) but who are utterly clueless about actual minorities. Again, the site can occasionally be funny because people like that DO exist (and some of them post here, even). But the site itself mocks "progressives" far more than it does "white people," and I'm surprised the white folks HERE don't realize the joke's on them. Maybe white people liking "Stuff White People Like" should be the next entry.

I don't mind being called "white people" at all.  I thank God I am a white people.  I LOVE being a white people.  I even enjoy all the phony manufactured derisive stuff non-white people and liberals come up with to say to one another about white people in order to make themselves feel better.  It doesn't hurt my feelings or make me mad.  It just makes me more aware of my life and reminds me of why I am glad, happy, and blessed to be who I am....a white people.
