IIRC, she related that he had told her, "I will not bend my knee before any God." Kinda funny that he, with that statement, actually was bending his knee at the altar of atheism (and, by extension, Satan).
Off topic, and the reason for another thread to get closed, but that's a great example of the true beliefs of the majority of self-proclaimed atheists. Almost every atheist I've encountered are not atheists at all, but anti-theists. While it would seem to be a matter of semantics, there really is a difference in that a true atheist would not be passionate in his opposition to "any god", as they wouldn't believe in a god at all. Instead, he's opposed to the thought of bowing before God, which means he has to hold some belief in God, else it makes no sense.
As a former self-proclaimed agnostic, my problem was being angry with God. I flirted with the idea of there being no God, but was really behaving like an angry child toward Him.
Sorry for going off-topic, but the quote of not kneeling before God was interesting.
