Happy Thanksgiving to all!
We are having dinner at our home with the Post CSM and another good set of friends for 16 present and accounted for. The three families are each taking part of the meal to cook so that cuts down on the work of any one person.
I am finished baking pies and now working on the green bean dish, the corn, and yams. The house has been scubbed top to bottom, the dogs cleaned and trimmed, the cat brushed and bell shined, and boys No.s 1, 2, and 3 set to their rooms to dress accordingly.
I am dress for the occation with shirt, tie, vest, kilt, hose, and brogans. Wife is horrified, but claims I suffer from Tramatic Brain Injury due to being blown up repeatedly during the war and so they understand.
The game is on the big screen and the Packers are ahead.
The only saddness is my mother is in the hospital in Rapid City recovering from exploritory surgery. We are hoping that it isn't Cancer, but the outlook isn't great. This will be her second bout with it, I am afraid, and she's very clear she won't go through chemo again.
We've talk to her and Dad today, and will again this afternoon.
To all those here I wish the best of the season and all that!
Frank, all the best to you back home.
