Election Day Predictions

Hoffman wins in NY 23 by 5%

Corzine wins by 2% in New Jersey

McConnel by 11% in Virgina

Corzine could lose if Dagget's supporters don't actually vote for Dagget on election day.

We'll see.

Actually, Christie in New Jersey's going to have to win by a landslide, 60% or something, in order to cancel out the "votes" created out of thin air by the corrupt political machine there.  If Christie actually gets 60% of the real vote, he'll squeak through, 50.1%-49.9% in the "official" tally.

Nothing new there; that's the way it always works.

1. The one to watch is New Jersey

Polling is all over the place.

Real Clear Politics

Pollster.com

Disillusioned Democrats will stay home and Christie will win.

We'll see, but remember, Christie will have to get circa 60% of the real vote, in order to eke out a victory.

4. I really hope not - I live next door to New Jersey.

Christie is a real bastard, and New Jersey is bad enough as it is.

Need more Dems to vote-PLEASE don't stay home!!!!

It is important.

And why is New Jersey bad enough as it is?

Who runs New Jersey?

2. Sadly, Jake, if PA runs true to form 70 to 75% of registered voters won't even bother to show up today.

Local and "off year" elections this year will decide PA's new Supreme Court and Superior Court judges as well as many county and local officials who profoundly affect our lives every day. Yet people ignore these elections and complain about the lousy condition of local government.

EVERYONE HERE:

Please vote today, and if you don't, kindly shut up about the result.

Why is the old primitive sounding so tentative, so nervous?

I thought the primitives had all three elections in the bag.

3. I'm driving a van all day in Allentown

Trying to get the vote out. We have pretty coordinated GOTV effort for Lehigh and Northampton County.

Hopefully Jack pulls this off. He's a good man, and redistricting is going to be a bitch.

Actually, all the Allentown dude primitive should have to do is sit in a cubicle in city hall, and as the votes come in from the precincts, "adjust" them.

No waste of gasoline, no depreciation on the van, that way.

5. I think Hoffman will lose NY 23.

Not so much due to the voters' political leanings but because they will
regard him as an "outsider" not familiar with that area or their needs.

We'll see.

Which is of course why he is doing well in the polls and the endorsed candidate withdrew for lack of support except the "party".

Why do people keep saying he's such an outsider?  Someone even called him a carpetbagger.  He's a north country boy through and through!  We consider Adirondack people one of us, over in our neck of the woods.

Well, I actually voted 5 or 6 times already today -- maybe that'll help Christie get his 60%!  :naughty:

Even if the DUmmies lose only one race......I predict exploding heads.

Which is it?.....the MSM says that these elections don't matter, they are not a referendum on the Anointed One. Then why are the DUmmies all tied up in knots over insignificant election?

Allentown Jake is probably pretty close, based on the polls versus wishful thinking (The latter being the more normal thought mode for DU).  But 2% is within margin-of-error for any of the polls, so I would have to just leave NJ as a toss-up until the day is over.

politics are like sports to dummies.

they pick their fantasy teams not based on statistics, but on the little "-d" that follows a candidates name.

elections are like playoff games.  presidential elections are the super bowl.

its hard to blame their interest in these things.  none of them every played organized sports (what with all of their inbred diseases and all of that time wasted  smoking pot or waiting in a planned parenthood office for their abortion.)

its all they have in the way of competition.  and if their guy wins?  more free stuff!

I have no clue as to California 10th district

No clue as to the Texas amendments referendums.

I think Hoffman might just win NY-23. ACORN is already talking about challenging the vote.

I think Virginia is likely in the bag.

NJ is close. I'd hate to think they would re-elect their moron.

If it's anything less than 80% Christie to 20% Corzine in Jersey, Corzine will pull it out. He'll simply demand a recount. By the time the recount's done, he'll have 40 million votes. I know New Jersey doesn't have that kind of population, but it's never stopped Democrats before.
Never demand that which you are incapable of taking by force, DUmmie.

I posted this at Moonbattery earlier today:

News from the North Country:
* Way up in St. Lawrence County, some pro-Hoffman people were campaigning too enthusiastically, right on the legal line of where you're not supposed to go. So, the Owens people called the police on them. No arrests were made.

* I hear a rumour that depending on the results tonight, ACORN may contest the vote.  FGL, can you confirm?

*Unscientific poll: I've been keeping an eye on Newsjunky, which is the regional online paper. They have a vote poll, and Hoffman has kept a steady 9 point spread all day. 4,465 votes so far, can't vote twice.

If ACORN was to publically take an openly partisan position then wouldn`t that raise all kinds of issues regarding monies already been given them by Washington?

ACORN was talking about challenging Clinton County votes, I dunno which state that was.
